Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh, gah, Seska. I'm sorry, and wishing a good outcome for him.

The good thing about ~ma is we don't ever run out. There's plenty for your Girl's father, for Steph's boy's mother, for sarameg's aunt, for anyone that needs it.

We were looking at the websites of inns in the area that offer package deals. The point being that they do everything, dinner, small cake, bottle of champagne, justice of the peace, etc, and we just have to show up.

My niece's mom did that last year when she married her dude. They could have a small number of people with them, so we were there, and it was pretty cool.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Chloe has pooped and then (this is what we're guessing) starts to flail and then ends up sprawled on the floor and can't get up and ends up lying in it. Generally she doesn't get as much stuck on her fur as she did tonight.

Well, we all mourn in our own way I guess...

It sounds like elopements now are what small weddings used to be, but you have to call it an elopement so you can get away with a small wedding.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Catching up...two week car saga decided it wasn't over yesterday.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

and now a break from our regular scheduling for a brief moment of tranquility: i came home from work to a house smelling of roses. No, really, it smells like roses. Something about the dew on all the roses outside is wafting into my living room in a most amazing way. *wonder*

Our wings are not tired.

Mmmm, roses. My place smells a bit like teen boy socks. Wanna trade?

{{Teppy and the Boy}} I have also been in The Boy's place and it makes all the difference to have the support of your partner. DH#1 was there for me while I devoted most every waking moment to my dad. A constant strength in the roller coaster of end of life.

The good thing about ~ma is we don't ever run out. There's plenty for your Girl's father, for Steph's boy's mother, for sarameg's aunt, for anyone that needs it.

Yes, the ~ma will multiply as needed. Sending out more for the Girl's dad. Also, some for Nora and Tom.

Things in Otter Lake are still blah. I have a friend visiting this weekend so that is cool. No progress on getting my son to have a life. Brandy has had a few rough days. Will need to take her to the local vet and see if we have any other options.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Lovely sentiment, and true.

And Steph, I can echo what everyone else has said about having a supportive partner when a parent is ill. Just your being there and being you makes all the difference.

Punishingly Intricate

Oh, Steph, i have so been there. In the days following Bob's major surgery I came home from the hospital at least twice to a completely shit covered kitchen floor and elderly dog. The second time I lost MY shit and called a friend in total hystrics about it. I love my animals but, sometimes, they just make things harder.

It looks like we are going to Cape Cod next weekend to look at one possible elopement site and Vermont the following weekend to look at 2 more. Squee! Luckily Mom's time share is available to us next weekend, so we don't have to pay for hotels two weekends in a row.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

So I innocently stumbled into recent Bitches posts.

And then. And then.

{{{Steph, Boy and Family}}}I'm so very sorry, Tep. ~ma to you, The Boy and his family, to Seska's father in law and to everyone else who needs it. You're all in my thoughts.
