First, find a Fire Lord.
Second, engage him a fierce battle while bending the elements.
Third, get randomly bashed up against a pokey rock such that it unlocks your chi.
Ha.
P-C, this was shared with me recently and was helpful in a difficult time.
You alone can do this, but you don't have to do it alone.
Thanks, smonster. I appreciate it. I feel better about the situation now that I'm at least giving it the old college try and trying to find suitable Indian girls on my own.
Oh, man, I kinda wish I was still single, just so I could reply "My chi is blocked" with a straight face whenever someone asked me why I wasn't seeing anyone.
Heh. She never used the word "chi," but that was the gist of it. "Something" is blocking me. Thursdays are evil, or something. I have to exorcise the Thursdays with this magical amulet.
(Psst. OKC is how I met my bf, so it's not all bad, yo!)
I know people have had success! And I am certainly more likely to find someone my style on OKCupid than on a generic dating site. It's just disheartening to find someone that you think really ought to like you, except she looks at your profile and doesn't think you're worth responding to.
Attraction is weirder than cats and sea parasites. IJS.
huh, I guess my chi is SERIOUSLY blocked. I wonder which day of the week is evil for me?
o_a, that is ridiculous. If the office isn't ready, you shouldn't be there! And yet I know this kind of thing happens all the time.
The company was supposed to move in back in August, but the building wasn't ready. They said Nov. 1st. Due to production schedules, my company put it off until this week. And the building is STILL not ready. The irony of it being, there are 4 elevators. Two go only to performance/audience zones. One goes to those zones PLUS admin and rehearsal zones. The fourth goes to all zones. Of course, the Production zones is where I need to go, and of course, it's the 4th cab that is FUBAR. Again. Yes, there is a design flaw or something. They are working on it, but the irony is dripping, the one person in the company that NEEDS elevators has the office on the floor that has one cab to get to it, and it's broken. As for the phone, just a SNAFU between my company and the building owners on who is providing what phones for which floors. Since my office is not on the admin level, my company thought it felt under the building jurisdiction. The building owners figure, your company people, you get the phones. And I can't disagree with that logic. Dunno what the SNAFU with the key is. They have keys for my 3 staff members, just not for me. Maybe they thought I had one? Dunno. It's moving day. Shit happens.
2. for some reason, girls are just better at paying attention to unusual break of patterns in everyday activity.
I find women tend to be better mixers. They tend to be more patient, and listen better. Yes, that is a generalized observation, and doesn't hold true to everyone.
They call it here "see-shoot", if that's any comfort.
Something like this:

Going out for coffee with a friend just proved to be very difficult for me. I really hate my body today.
I've had days like that. I feel your pain. {{{sj}}}

Yes, this is it.
And I forgot that Gill was called Spike (every piece of equipment has the "civic" American name and the "seekrit" Israeli-Rafael name). It usually made me smile during my days as a reporter for IDF journal. For extra awkwardness, Gill is "joy" in Hebrew.
Windsparrow, creepy coworker. May she leave soon without further incident.
Shir, your sister is a hero.
huh, I guess my chi is SERIOUSLY blocked.
This hadn't-had-a-single-relationship-til-age-27 gal concurs. (I don't know how I found The Girl. I had a moment of 'you are getting ALL your luck right now' from the universe.)
I've had days like that. I feel your pain. {{{sj}}}
As do I. (I am so tired of this month's dose of megapain. It can stop now, thanksverymuch, though it doesn't seem to have got that message. Grr.)
Andi, it sounds like you did totally the right thing regarding contacting the supervisor. Good on ya, and I hope that situation calms down asap.
Shir, your sister is a hero.
I'm smiling, but from here it's more complicated. But I'm glad you can still think so. There's nothing like living in a war zone to teach you that there is no black and white in life or war. For me, personally, my sister she's a hero, of course - but I would never, in a million years, could do what she's doing in her service.
If things were more clear when I was 17-18, I'd reject army for national service (I told you people about the difference, right? That it's not like in the U.S.? [link] ). I'm not regretting for serving, but now I can tell which parts were completely fucked up (one day, when I'll be awake, I'll tell you the story of Shir and the Proper Water Level in IDF Canteen while on Guard).
Thursdays are evil, or something. I have to exorcise the Thursdays with this magical amulet.
And now I am brainwormed with "and then Bob's your Winchester!"
