o_a, that is ridiculous. If the office isn't ready, you shouldn't be there! And yet I know this kind of thing happens all the time.The company was supposed to move in back in August, but the building wasn't ready. They said Nov. 1st. Due to production schedules, my company put it off until this week. And the building is STILL not ready. The irony of it being, there are 4 elevators. Two go only to performance/audience zones. One goes to those zones PLUS admin and rehearsal zones. The fourth goes to all zones. Of course, the Production zones is where I need to go, and of course, it's the 4th cab that is FUBAR. Again. Yes, there is a design flaw or something. They are working on it, but the irony is dripping, the one person in the company that NEEDS elevators has the office on the floor that has one cab to get to it, and it's broken. As for the phone, just a SNAFU between my company and the building owners on who is providing what phones for which floors. Since my office is not on the admin level, my company thought it felt under the building jurisdiction. The building owners figure, your company people, you get the phones. And I can't disagree with that logic. Dunno what the SNAFU with the key is. They have keys for my 3 staff members, just not for me. Maybe they thought I had one? Dunno. It's moving day. Shit happens.
