Can't you ever get your mind out of the hellmouth?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I edited something yesterday and learned that the DEA is going to permit e-prescribing of controlled substances (narcotics, etc.). About fucking time.

About fucking time indeed. Kaiser has this spiffy computer network that sends the prescription order directly to the pharmacy, except in the case of scheduled drugs. Then the doctor has to print out the prescription so that I can walk down the hall to hand it to the pharmacy.

Hell, I lived through the utter fuckwittery of being in such horrible pain I couldn't drive, and yet the only way I could get the pain meds refilled was to drive 15 minutes to the doctor's office, walk in, have the receptionist hand me the prescription, and then walk back out, get in the car, drive 15 minutes to the pharmacy, go home, and cry. (The pharmacy, you see, was literally 2 minutes from my house, but because of the fucking DEA, I had to jump through painful hoops to get meds I needed. And I'll stop now before this turns into an epic rant.)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

About fucking time.

I ... might go back on the meds.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am lucky in that my doctor can call in my pain medication. I am unlucky in that they don't seem to unless I harass them by mail and email, and that's just about every month. So I dedicate one Thursday a week to calling and emailing repeatedly just so I don't get any interruption in medication. Problem is, doctor thinks I shouldn't be taking so much pain meds. Other problem is--I need them. He can feel free to cure me any time.

Our wings are not tired.

I knew as soon as I saw the post count that Hil had reported her success. Woot! And congrats to Dr. Hil!

ePrescribing schedule drugs will make my job s lot easier. It has been a pain to get doctors on board when every other Rx they have to print out.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Congrats Dr. Hil! Woohoo!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Em's best friend K is over. I "kidnapped" her this afternoon and she's been with us most of the day at the pool and here at our house. As usual, they have annihilated. I have been poor planner in the past and don't have the girls clean up before K leaves and then Em throws a fit for having to pick up "K's mess" (it's amazing how Em makes NO mess at all when K is here.). Tonight, I got smart and said, "No movie or snack until the bedroom is cleaned up."

Now K is tired and doesn't want to clean. She ony has enough energy to watch the movie and lie down.

Too bad, so sad - as my mother would say. I ain't budging. Clean the room girls.

Remind me again why I want more children?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Remind me again why I want more children?

If Em has a younger sibling to torment/be tormented by, she might leave you alone for five minutes?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Remind me again why I want more children?

Because you're CRAZY.

(Note, my opinion is suspect because I am not a parent AND I'm an only child.)

Great news Hil!

I love in flight WiFi, yes I do. I'm on the last leg of my trip home. A home I haven't seen in almost exactly one month. I also get to meet Kaylee in a few hours and see my beautiful wife.
