Em's best friend K is over. I "kidnapped" her this afternoon and she's been with us most of the day at the pool and here at our house. As usual, they have annihilated. I have been poor planner in the past and don't have the girls clean up before K leaves and then Em throws a fit for having to pick up "K's mess" (it's amazing how Em makes NO mess at all when K is here.). Tonight, I got smart and said, "No movie or snack until the bedroom is cleaned up."
Now K is tired and doesn't want to clean. She ony has enough energy to watch the movie and lie down.
Too bad, so sad - as my mother would say. I ain't budging. Clean the room girls.

I love in flight WiFi, yes I do. I'm on the last leg of my trip home. A home I haven't seen in almost exactly one month. I also get to meet Kaylee in a few hours and see my beautiful wife.

Whoopee for Dr. Hil! That is awesome news. Call your adviser, and schedule an appointment for some place he would hate to go. Guilt him into going, to celebrate your success. then don't show, so he has to sit there all alone while being stood up.

P-C, having had a mini vacation to FLA with my mother, with shared hotel room for 4 days, I will say, if you don't want to go, DON'T! I get along with my mother, but she can drive me batshit crazy in 5 minutes flat. It was trying to share a rental car and hotel for almost a week. Dunno how long the trip would be to India, but I'm guessing longer than 4 days. Best thing I did, was pick airplane seats NOT in the same row, so at least the plane ride I had some solace. Good luck! Glad the phone call today was sane.

We have to go down to San Diego from the 17th through the 24th to take care of his mom so his sister and her husband can take a vacation. Maybe when we get back, but then D has his surgery on the 27th. Woe.
