WindSparrow, did you ever see the book Harry and I Build a Siege Engine? it might amuse you.
I haven't seen it. I'll have to look for it. Thanks.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You mean, someday this heat may end???
I wouldn't go that far. In fact, those skimpy Halloween costumes may start being practical.
and don't let me forget the eight non-metaphorical cats to herd. Eight barfing, shedding, shredding, needy cats.
er..really hoping they aren't going on vacation with you. Cuz that's no kind of vacation.
Hey everyone. I'm in Miami for a few more hours and then the ship leaves for a few days. I can't wait to get back home to LA next week. It is a pain trying to keep up through ship Internet. At least today I can use my MiFi until we leave port.
And good news! Byron's labs came back, and he's negative for all the really bad stuff. He is positive for hyperthyroidism, which explains SO much. I'm picking up new meds for him today that (if I can hide successfully in his food, which is tricky with such smart cat) it should fix his constant hunger and inability to gain weight and probably make him a lot less cranky. These are both truly excellent things.

Both of my elderly cats have the hyperthyroid and the pills have worked pretty well for them. The one will take it in ANYTHING, the other is more picky but they have both been eating it up lately in a little dab of cream cheese.
Oh that's awesome news, Kristin.
Yay for Byron's diagnosis of something that's easily treatable!
Yay for Byron!
Glad for the good Byron news! Layla has thyroid issues and the pills have worked really well with her.
