Something I've wondered - if you reversed the genders of "You Oughta Know," would it still work the same? Or is the song essentially a female complaint?
Well there is the whole "she was way younger than Dave Coulier" back story that colors the whole thing for me... I guess strictly textually you could reverse it, but I can't shake the feeling that its a younger woman feeling to some degree played by an older man.
I just called my doctor to see if he could call in a perscription for ativan and got chided for calling so late on a Friday. So helpful.
sj, did you tell them that next time you'd try to schedule your anxiety so that it's convenient for them?
Doctor says I'm fine unless I start displaying symptoms. Which I doubt will happen, really. Sometimes I wonder what they think of me over there...
Teppy, I did essentially say that to the nurse. She said she would call the doctor. I'm not holding my breathe. At least there will be wine at the beach. I've been a complete mess for two days.
I think the male equivalent of "You Oughta Know" is Rod Stewart's "Maggie May"

Pandora has just given me an acoustic cover of "What I've Done" by Linkin Park by Marie Digby. It's surprisingly nice, but I had to check to make sure I was hearing what I thought I was hearing. Oh, Pandora.
I am perhaps inordinately pleased when people want to be my friend on Facebook, especially if I have considered adding them but thought, nah, we didn't talk that much, they probably don't want to know me, it'll be weird.
Joining the Bay Area theatre community has certainly improved my social life.
Sigh. I was shaving, and got a tiny little cut on my knee, and it just wouldn't stop bleeding, and now I've got blood everywhere. I couldn't bandage it while I was still finishing shaving, and I tried to keep wiping it with a washcloth, but still, the blood dripped down to the floor and got onto my other leg and my arm, and then from there kind of ended up everywhere -- whenever I thought I'd cleaned up everything, there was some little bit that I missed that then spread all over. This is definitely my least favorite part of summer.
