Ireland approved gay civil partnership yesterday.
Woo! Nice one, Ireland. I thought they'd take a lot longer over that one. (I'm enjoying seeing the slow rise in the number of places where our civil partnership will be recognised. I forget exactly why. It's fun to think we could move to Iceland and be considered married, though! Until we got too cold and came home.)
Have a fabulous weekend, sj!
Sunil, I have tears running down my cheeks and my son looking at me with the 'what the hell are you listening to' look on his face. Awesome!! VSOP indeed.
Never knew of such designations before, thanks Teppy for my something I learned today. I can slack off now.
Something I've wondered - if you reversed the genders of "You Oughta Know," would it still work the same? Or is the song essentially a female complaint?
Well there is the whole "she was way younger than Dave Coulier" back story that colors the whole thing for me... I guess strictly textually you could reverse it, but I can't shake the feeling that its a younger woman feeling to some degree played by an older man.
I just called my doctor to see if he could call in a perscription for ativan and got chided for calling so late on a Friday. So helpful.
sj, did you tell them that next time you'd try to schedule your anxiety so that it's convenient for them?
Doctor says I'm fine unless I start displaying symptoms. Which I doubt will happen, really. Sometimes I wonder what they think of me over there...
Teppy, I did essentially say that to the nurse. She said she would call the doctor. I'm not holding my breathe. At least there will be wine at the beach. I've been a complete mess for two days.
I think the male equivalent of "You Oughta Know" is Rod Stewart's "Maggie May"

Pandora has just given me an acoustic cover of "What I've Done" by Linkin Park by Marie Digby. It's surprisingly nice, but I had to check to make sure I was hearing what I thought I was hearing. Oh, Pandora.
