People can become lactose intolerant when they're older, right?
Yes, but if you've been drinking milk all your adult life it's unlikely to develop out of the blue. You'd know if you had it. The effects are...pretty immediately unpleasant.
'War Stories'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

my grandmother served squares of plain Jello on limp pieces of lettuce and topped with a glob of mayonnaise as a "salad."
I wonder if this didn't come from a misunderstanding of a picture of Jell-o with whipping cream dolloped on top?

Ooooooooh, DJ, I am so excited for you! What an amazing experience for the two of you.
Having been to three of your four cities (not Goa), my advice would be to maybe plan for less time in Delhi than the other cities. It can be overwhelming to the first-time visitor and harder to see the beauty of it right away, though it definitely is worth a visit, and is a great base for day trips like the Taj Mahal. And I really loved both Varanasi and Jaipur. Oh, the desert! Are you planning to fly between cities or take trains? Feel free to tell me to stuff it if you're not looking for advice; I'm just enjoying remembering my travels there and excited that you get to go!

Oh. Good.
I've posted in Natter than my tummy is more sensitive these days, requiring me to give up coffee and tea.
Hopefully that will be temporary.
Emeline med update: We are not doing the XR anymore. Following the yuk side effects from earlier, she also flipped like a mammal when she started to come down off the dose.
FWIW, I didn't have the other side effects Emeline had when I first went on Adderall XR, but I did have major anxiety attacks when it was wearing off for the first week, and then they went away.

Midwesterners of her era thought of Jello as multipurpose. Jello could be a "salad" with mayonnaise or salad dressing or a "dessert" with whipped cream. The latter would evolve into Jello with Coolwhip on it, one of the more appalling faux food creations ever.
My grandmother would pour a little whole milk over jello if she didn't have whipped cream.
When I was little, on the rare (thankfully) occasion that my mom was sick, my dad made us cherry Jello with walnuts and canned peaches in it. *shudder* Neither my brother or I liked it, but we'd eat a little to make my dad happy 'cause he thought he was making us a cool treat.

I think we'll decide based on our travel agent friend's recommendations. I don't mind advice! I would love to hear about your experience!
All right! Girl bitten by shark last week EXACTLY where we're going to be for vacation in 5 days.
