I have arrived in Southampton. I board the NCL Epic tomorrow and have gotten work that things are...not running smoothly...on the ship. This should be an interesting crossing. I'm not at all surprised to find out that things aren't going as planned.

I am awake. Sorta. I need to get to my office to finish up dissertation editing today, but I'm groggy and achy and this is not going to be good. Maybe coffee will help, but getting coffee means walking an extra block and a half.

Because of Tivo, we only saw that segment last night. I was more struck by how Michael Musto rendered Keith speechless with, "I don't do fingering jokes."

Coffee always helps, I think. As does fresh air! So the walking + coffee = win-win situation!!

Or, that's the rationalization I would use in my mind anyway =)

I just set up a second one to be local to my mom's house and forwarded any calls to it directly to our phone here. Now she doesn't have to pay long distance to call us.

I may be subverting the intent.

My dad and I, among other activities, have spent part of today trying to find a bar to sit and have a glass of absinthe in Venice.

Because I am trying to murder Jilli with envy.

However, we have so far failed to find a bar that serves it, so Jilli gets to live.

On a personal note, I may need to go to decaf or half-caf on my one morning cup o' coffee. I consistently feel very thirsty and somewhat jittery for hours after.

I love Michael Musto. I feel kind of embarrassed about that most of the time, but Bitches would understand. Also, Gaga unleashed her crazy at a *baseball game* Which probably means she could strip naked, sing "You're a Grand Old Flag" and when half of New York said "OMG, Keith...did you see that?!" he'd be like "Not(Player's )best day" and make a note in his Blackberry. Also, just a tinge of fogey. (Despite dating some chick in her twenties...which occasionally brings out my inner faux-Musto, I have to tell you.)

Daniel, when this is over, you might want to get some cranberry pills. I take them every day and have not had one in years.
