Daniel, when this is over, you might want to get some cranberry pills. I take them every day and have not had one in years.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I like the first dress, except for that FUG color on the bottom band. Maxi dresses make me look massive and stumpy, though.
OMG, I got called mom today! M. said he was "really lucky, cause I have two moms and two dads who love me."
MELT.
Farmer's market -- I got something called a lemon cucumber that I had to get and try, and some yummy peaches, corn, aparagus and blueberries. Mixing fresh summer blueberries in my AM pancakes is getting to be addictive, yo.
Gott go to regaular grocer's, get stuff for house and also for weekend at river! Yum, crack dip.
It is so good, I will share the recipe, since I have it up here so I can write all the stuff on my grocery list:
Crack Dip (as addictive as crack)
8 oz. softened cream cheese; 1 can sweet corn, drained; I can green chiles, choppped; i can chopped black olives. I chopped red pepper, 1 pkg, dry ranch dressing. Salt and pepper to taste.
Mix together. Refrigerate.
Drink a lot, and NOM with crackers or tortilla chips.
For some reason, I think maxi dresses almost require an element of fug. I think I will be snapping up that first dress--thanks for the tip, smonster!
Now I want cowboy boots to wear with it.
This should be an interesting crossing. I'm not at all surprised to find out that things aren't going as planned.
I was rather hoping that all the "what could go wrong" that goes wrong turns out to be fiddly, annoying things, as opposed to climate-change-related-ice-berg-cruise-ship-version-of-Frogger.
I think Emeline might finally stop sucking her fingers. She FINALLY has a loose tooth, but the pressure of her fingers in her mouth is hurting it, so she's been keeping them out.
Which, yay no more sucking fingers.
But also, BOO! My baby has a loose tooth!!
How weird is this, Leif was up last night because he was afraid he would get drunk. Why? Because he learned from a science show that it was possible for people to manifest the mental and physical symptoms of being drunk from a placebo (non-alcoholic beer in the experiment). His head is a busy and often strange place.
Because I am trying to murder Jilli with envy.
shakes tiny fist
However, we have so far failed to find a bar that serves it, so Jilli gets to live.
Whew! but I love seeing the quick updates from you.
I may need to go to decaf or half-caf on my one morning cup o' coffee. I consistently feel very thirsty and somewhat jittery for hours after.
This was happening to me too. I found that switching to black tea (I like chai or Earl Grey) works just fine -- enough caffeine to get me going, but no jitters or headaches or sour stomach or anything like what coffee can do to me.
Safe passage, Drew!
So apparently my "year I turn a nice round numbered age fear to conquer/exciting thing to do" is learn how to operate a string trimmer. It's heavier than I expected. And while I have mangled a few tomato cages, it hasn't come anywhere near my legs.
WS's string trimmer talk killed the thread? I'll revive it with some bitching!
We have these monthly meetings - the Bataan Death March of meetings. They're scheduled to last four hours, invariably go on for at least six. They're IMPORTANT! Attention (or attendance) must be paid! So important we had someone call in from a trade show he was at to do his part. Which, since he was on a cellphone calling from the exhibit hall floor, was hard to understand. And consisted of him reading his 17 (17!!!) slides.
During this oh-so-important meeting half the people were on their phones texting.
Am I the only one to see the contradiction?
I begged off to proofread a contract which was, believe me, less painful.
They do provide lunch but, just my luck, the caterer of choice is one whose food invariably give me indigestion (so I make sure to bring my lunch).
