No worries, Ginger. I didn't realize until early this morning that our layover in Atlanta was going to be this long, or I would have mentioned it earlier.
As it is, we're waiting to board the flight to Venice, so when I talk to y'all again, it will be tomorrow (Monday has been about 3 hours long for me -- skipping right over it).
The vet thinks the incredible bouncing dog probably landed wrong on that leg. There's a little swelling around the joint, but she said that if he had broken something, there would be more swelling.
I also raised my concerns about how he doesn't seem to be taking the heat well, and she said with the early hot weather and humidity, she's seeing a lot of heat problems, so it's probably not specifically something wrong with him.
It is way too hot outside.
I'm up to 215 job applications now. One of my friends keeps second-guessing my job search stuff, and it's really annoying. (There's a job that I was offered a while ago but turned down that she thinks I should have taken. Every reason that I give for not wanting it, she comes back with a reason why my reason is wrong.)

Today has just been way too long. And tomorrow, my advisor wants to meet with me from 2 until 6. I have no idea what time that will actually work out to.
12 days until I get to go to the beach. And I have a new bathing suit, so I will look all stylish at the beach. (Actually, the bathing suit I bought last year still fits and is in pretty good condition, but this one was red with white polka dots, so I had to buy it.)
And after tomorrow, the only thing I have to work on is my dissertation defense -- the writing will be done.
The local bead store was running a design competition - submit pieces that were at least 50% pearls (June's birth"stone"), they'd be displayed for a couple of weeks, anyone coming into the store could vote on their favorites.
Last Friday they called and told me the necklace I'd submitted won 2nd place in its category.
