Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

So my beloved Aunt the missionary has been visiting me this weekend, which has been very, very nice.

This morning, we spent a couple of hours discussing the Bible (she is pretty open-minded and very well read, so can answer my endless questions about science/Bible with patience). It was a great talk. I had to laugh because after two hours of talking about Christianity and Islam and floods and dinosaurs, she ends with "and now you need to go do your work and I can keep reading the book I got off your shelf!"

"Which book?"

"The Godfather Companion--it's great!!!"

And then she made me banana nut bread.

And now she's out there watching the dvds of "Waiting for God" that I got for my birthday.

move out and draw fire

It falls under the heading of "stuff bookmarked at home that I can never remember how to find on the fly and more's the pity."

This is why you should use delicious!

Relatedly, I don't know what happened to slashdom after Minotaur's death.

I think that it was changed to slashdom.net. I know that smallville.slashdom.net still works. Not that anyone is posting there, but I haven't really checked/watched Smallville in a few years.

I am exhausted, and I still have a few more hours stuck in ATL,

Ack! I could have come down and visited, but I was at the vet. (The vet says to give Mr Peabody 165 mg of aspirin 3x a day, put warm compresses on his leg and come back if he's not better by Thursday. I haven't quite figured out the logistics of warm compresses.}

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I think I had a couple fics on slashdom. If I weren't on my work computer, I'd go check.

Not that that's stopped me from much in the past. Man, I hope when I turn this laptop back in, the IT techs just wipe it without looking at the logs.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Ginger, I hope Mr. Peabody doeesn't have anything serious.

No worries, Ginger. I didn't realize until early this morning that our layover in Atlanta was going to be this long, or I would have mentioned it earlier.

As it is, we're waiting to board the flight to Venice, so when I talk to y'all again, it will be tomorrow (Monday has been about 3 hours long for me -- skipping right over it).

The vet thinks the incredible bouncing dog probably landed wrong on that leg. There's a little swelling around the joint, but she said that if he had broken something, there would be more swelling.

I also raised my concerns about how he doesn't seem to be taking the heat well, and she said with the early hot weather and humidity, she's seeing a lot of heat problems, so it's probably not specifically something wrong with him.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It is way too hot outside.

I'm up to 215 job applications now. One of my friends keeps second-guessing my job search stuff, and it's really annoying. (There's a job that I was offered a while ago but turned down that she thinks I should have taken. Every reason that I give for not wanting it, she comes back with a reason why my reason is wrong.)

Hil, tell her that ship has sailed and shut up already. Though you may wish to be more polite.
