[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Awww. I got a facebook message from the girl who was my best friend for most of elementary school, but then her family moved back to Japan when we were in fifth grade. I haven't heard from her since about 1993 or so.

I'm glad I pushed myself to go to my nephew and niece's birthday party today. She is about to turn 4 and he just turned 1, but they live out of state, and we don't get to see them that much. They are just so cute!

give her 10 mgs of Benadryl

I infer from this that your cat weighs 10 lbs. Hope it helps, and that the poor thing feels better quickly.

Ah, no. About 6 pounds; she's lean and active. I haven't given it to her yet; I cut a 25 mg. tab into thirds. I will halve it; better to err on the side of caution.

The source said 10 mgs. I'm glad I posted first; I KNEW someone would have good feline info. She ate and is snoozing. I will give the next time I see her awake; I would rather she got some good healing sleep in the AC. Will also get her some tuna tomorrow.

I've got a cookie cookbook that includes one recipe meant to be eaten raw.

Erin, the dosage formula for cats I was given by a vet for benedryl is 1mg per pound body weight. It's easier to get the dosage right using children's liquid, but then the patient is likely to froth at the mouth unless one happens to be particularly skillful at getting liquid medications far enough back in the mouth as to go straight down the throat.

I am a pretty skillful cat-doctorer, but I prefer pills. She will be pissed, but hopefully, she will feel better.

I am gonna go choke the cat right now!

And...she is pissed, but the peanut butter ball went down. Tuna will make her happier, methinks, and maybe I'll pick up the liquid. That's just a jam, squirt and out, and any furious chomping is done to the tube and not my tender fingers.

Aww, that's neat hearing from an old lost friend, Hil! Yay for facebook.

I went to two events today that would've benefited from some sun. Instead, it was COLD. 55 degrees is NOT PROPER JUNE WEATHER. At least, not in the middle of the day. At night, that's fine. Especially not for the solstice festival, and the Dykes vs Drag Queens softball game!

We managed to have a good time anyway. Though realized belatedly that bringing liquor to a softball game sponsored by an AA group was probably a bad move. Oops. (We had been hiding it in flasks and such to hide from the cops, because it was in a park, but then realized the double-bad nature of our move)

Then went to birthday dinner for my new roomie, and home for a bit before going out dancing. WHEW! Tired already.

Picked up a bunch of cards and websites at the solstice festival though, after watching the parade (SO MANY naked bicyclists!), for places I want to spend my money. OMG.
