Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Dream Girl ,'Bring On The Night'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

store-brand granola: I love your willingness to follow through on your epic mistakes. After all, someone has to report back about these things.

Heh. Yeah, but I'll never get back the hours I lost to the ghastly 200k+ Dean/Castiel MPreg story. Or the, umm. Other bad tags I may have clicked.

Though I still remember Occupied Riverdale (the post-apoc Archie comics story I read) with vague fondness. I mean, aside from the uber-creepy misogyny and violence against women. (It was clearly not written by one.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It was clearly not written by one.

I am totally creeped out by the misogyny in stories that I am completely convinced are written by women. The sexual politics are so very disturbing. But, hey, self-hatred is hardly new.

So, Plei, does anything make you hit the back button? Enquiring minds need to know.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Plei, did you ever read that N'Sync story that was a Pern fusion?

tommyrot - Jun 18, 2010 8:27:19 am PDT #23094 of 30000
Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

that N'Sync story that was a Pern fusion?

Oh dear.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(Do we have one of those? And did she speak up in yesterday's name-song discussion in Natter? Because that's a pretty cool song to have.)

Shana is...a Pop Locker? When she's doing Bell Biv Devoe at a drag king show.

Actually, now I'm thinking most fandoms should do Pern fusions. How brilliant! Also Kushiel's Dart fusions, which came to me randomly.

God, I'm bored today.

Me too.

Somebody set something on fire.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Me three.

There was a run of "His Dark Materials" fusions. That was interesting.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

MPreg squicks me like nothing else.

I saw at least one of those in SPN, and for some reason avoided it. I think it reeks of Mary Sue potential. However, I have just about run out of stories to read that fit my primary criteria, so I may end up pulling a Plei anyway.

I am so psyched! Yesterday I found an old SPN crossover bigbang with a Highlander crossover featuring Methos. Annoyingly it's written in script format, but still. I've been craving Methos in the same story as Castiel every since Stonehenge Apocalypse. That movie has a lot to answer for.
