Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm sorry, P-C. She sees how it affects your parents; she doesn't see how it's affecting you.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I hate to say it, PC, but I wonder how much pressure (overt or covert) was put on your sister to write that email.

Also, what bt said.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

P-C, I went through a somewhat analagous situation with my sis after I came out. All she could see was that I was hurting Mama. Then she graduated hs and left for college and got a fucking clue. It hurts and it sucks. She wouldn't talk to me for months. Now she's my mole and tells me all tthe fucked up things my mom says about me and my brother. Yay?

I also like the very simple "talk to me in four years response." Or you could suggest that she ask your father to explain the concept of boundaries.

Hang in there and I'm so glad your brother is your ally.

WS, I hope your day today goes better and entirely lacks kicking.

Our wings are not tired.

That isn't respect, it isn't love. Be strong, choose honesty, to them, and to yourself.

This. Also, your sister is just parroting your mother. She's young and under their roof.

Just telling parents what they want to hear will never be a real solution. (although sometimes from the parent side it is a bit more relaxing to just have them tell me what I want to hear then do as they please) Stay resolute, P-C. Seriously, it is the only real solution.

IOparentingN, dearest firstborn son is coming around. He finally made forward motion on his school stuff. (under threat of the phone being turned off) AND he agreed to go north with me this summer and get a job to save money for another car. He and the girlfriend are not happy about the separation, but the reality of his situation has hit them.

His concern is that he lost his girlfriend a few years ago when he went north for the summer. I get this. Even at 18 he is a serious fella when it comes to matters of the heart. My hope is to help him be attentive enough with calls, letters, and silly I miss you gifts over the few weeks to keep her from feeling left behind.

That said, I need to get organized to hit the road. Ugh. Sad that I will miss Father's Day. Must think of something the boys can do for DH Sunday.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Wait, your father is a PSYCHIATRIST? Hahahahahahaha!

Peepul R strange...

Shit's all sorts of different now.

P-C -- what everyone said about your sister and the email. It's a load of bullshit, typewritten manipulation of the worst kind. I don't know if you're looking for how to respond but if you do, remember to use "I" statements.

And sadly, as I found out, "I was wondering what the FUCK is wrong with you?" does not count.

And sadly, as I found out, "I was wondering what the FUCK is wrong with you?" does not count.

You need to put the statement in terms of your feelings, such as "I feel terribly confused when I can't work out what the FUCK is wrong with you."

Yeah, that didn't go over either.

Oh, James Franco. WTF. He's got an art exhibition. [link]

Punishingly Intricate

Oh, James Franco. WTF. He's got an art exhibition.

Oh, yeah, he applied to the grad program at Maryland Institute College of Art this year! He got in, actually, but decided he wanted to pursue some other program at, possibly, Yale?
