Mal: Cut it out. Job's not done until we're back on Serenity. Zoe: Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to enjoy the moment.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

P-C, can you call and wish happy fathers day when you know they'll be out of the house, and leave a message? Phone tag has an illustrious history for a reason!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

What. Cass. Said. I would definitely call him. They're the ones who are defining this as you not caring about the family. You don't have to buy into that and you can show them it's not so. You DO care, you just don't want to do this one thing in the way they want you to. I feel for your dad--he has to live with your mom's crazy all the time, and it is clear that they both love you, even if their cultural expectations are wack.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I should be able to get my sister to tell me when they're not home.

Right. Like sj said, it would just be ammunition.

Happy Birthday Cass!

P-C All the strength~ma in the world.

I am here, lurkish, but reading and nodding and sending hugs and things. I will be here more sometime soon and tell you about where i was.

In the meantime, a plea:

Chicagoistas - a friend has moved to your fair town for employment, but alas, cannot find a good $1k or under/month rental that is fair to cats and also near Rosemont. Person in question is Quite Something and could in fact be a buffista. I would like to pass some good housing~ma this person's way - if there is any advice, please let me know.

as an update on my friend undergoing chemo, she is in her third week, fighting very hard.

And I am nomming chocolate, because my job requires that. Chocolate, or yelling.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

How near to Rosemont does person need to be? My apartment complex has great 1BRs very cat friendly in Wheeling, about 30 minutes north of Rosemont.

ETA: price is around $850.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Birthday to Cass!

And belated birthday wishes to askye!

I'm skippy girl again. I drive to Otter Lake this weekend. Moving the house, moving the office, and a bunch of other stuff going on all at once.

I missed the chance to say bye to DH. He left this afternoon for a basketball tournament. He'll get back on Sunday and I'll be on the road. Driving to NY with my cousin because she needs her car up there and I don't. Her car isn't that big so the boys are flying up.

So, DH left today, I leave Saturday, he gets back Sunday, my sons fly up on Wednesday and I pick them up in Syracuse, DH flies to Boston on Friday and I pick him up and drive to Providence for the F2F. Then Bobby and DH fly back to FL on the 7th. Brendon is going to spend the summer with me.

Amy! Are you still in NY? I would be more than happy to swing by and pick you up on my way to the F2F. (I know you were talking moving this summer, but with all my skippiness I don't know if that is/was happening.)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm enjoying a glass of sangria with white cherries and loving the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. P-C was right again.

update after scrolling back some:

Wow Connie, what a horrible thing to witness, then how neat that you were able to find out she is going to be ok.

{{P-C}} Hope you are able to put the family issues on hold for long enough to enjoy the weekend. Compartmentalize.

not your mom's socks.

Kathy A - I'll pass that on! Thank you so much! I think there is hope to be a bit closer in, but any information is helpful.
