I'm enjoying a glass of sangria with white cherries and loving the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. P-C was right again.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
update after scrolling back some:
Wow Connie, what a horrible thing to witness, then how neat that you were able to find out she is going to be ok.
{{P-C}} Hope you are able to put the family issues on hold for long enough to enjoy the weekend. Compartmentalize.
Kathy A - I'll pass that on! Thank you so much! I think there is hope to be a bit closer in, but any information is helpful.

Yay, my SS is here for the summer! He has gotten so big. I am going to take him to the pool, weather permitting, tomorrow.
The afternoon has been fun, but I am wore out-ish. I already have a playdate set up next week with my gf and her 7 yo girl. Zoo and pool. OMG, I have a mom hat!
Sox, I have a friend who lives in DesPlaines, a lot closer to Rosemont, but he pays around $950 for his 1BR. Problem with that area is that you have be there to inspect the complex, because there are a lot of iffy areas in that town. His complex is great, but just a few blocks down is cheaper and iffier.
Have your friend look around Harwood Heights, Elmwood Park, or Chicago's Jefferson Park neighborhood (just down the Kennedy from Rosemont). Elmwood Park is probably equidistant to Rosemont as DesPlaines is, but south instead of north, and there are more affordable places there, I think. Also, they'd be closer to the city and Oak Park.
I am back from the doctor, and I don't have pneumonia!
... I might have mono. The lab results letting me know will be back tomorrow.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I work in DesPlaines/Niles area and wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

Oh dear, Jilli. I sort of hope not...except that it would explain a lot.
I was about 10 years older than I imagine you are when I had it and survived, but it was a long old road. Good luck and good health!

It would, wouldn't it. Dammit. I don't have time for mono!
Anyway, my doc gave me a huge shot full of zinc, vitamins C & B, and a whole bunch of immunity-boosting stuff. (Oww, my hip stings.) She also said "You're a chronic insomniac! Taking 5mg of Ambien every night is better than you constantly being sleep deprived. Don't argue".
