Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Why has David Tennant stopped dyeing his hair?

I read the article, it may be that he's done it for the role he's playing, as an villain :)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I want to COMM Jessica's semaphore breakup so much, but I don't want to upset anyone.

I for one don't mind if you want to COMM it.

Steph, love the cards.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm about halfway through Twilight. My opinion so far is that it's delightfully horrible.

I am also getting increasingly irritated with my advisor, who promised he would submit his letter of recommendation by Thanksgiving, has not submitted it yet, and has not responded to any of my emails since before Thanksgiving, and I can't go find him because I'm still in NJ. And I've gotten a few more emails from places where I applied telling me that they can't consider my application complete until they receive the recommendations.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hil, if your slacker adviser is anywhere in Virginia, I'll go talk to him for you.

Art Crawl!!!

Vortex, that's what I thought too.

Plus - doesn't this make him eligible for ita's Silver Fox site?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

doesn't this make him eligible for ita's Silver Fox site?

Whoot! Extra Tennant! I like him better as a brunet, because I think he looks all over pale with the grey hair, but I'm not mad at anyone who goes au naturel.

Let me go bookmark Seska's post.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I am also getting increasingly irritated with my advisor, who promised he would submit his letter of recommendation by Thanksgiving, has not submitted it yet, and has not responded to any of my emails since before Thanksgiving, and I can't go find him because I'm still in NJ. The utter lack of respect and professionalism from this guy just continues to amaze.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I read the article, it may be that he's done it for the role he's playing, as an villain :)

Thinking about it, it's really hard to say whether he's just stopped dyeing it brown, or is dyeing it grey for the role. Either way, I don't think it looks at all bad. It gives him a definite 'grown-up' aura.

Re Zenkitty's spoiler font, I agree entirely. To add my own view in that area: Girly parts. Not fun. I am so sick of three-weekly periods and everything that goes with them.

Also, in relation to the above, I'm having that week (the one in three) of being so bendy, I subluxate every two minutes and end up in a little heap of pain on the bed at the end of the day. I went shopping today, safely cocooned in my wheelchair, and still subluxed every single joint in my body. Joyous. I am going to lie here and watch old Lost episodes (we're doing a bit of a Lost marathon) and not move. Seems safest. < /pain rant >

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And I've gotten a few more emails from places where I applied telling me that they can't consider my application complete until they receive the recommendations.

Can you forward them to him?

You know, each one with a note, "Just checking with you on the status of my letter. ______ is still waiting for it."

Does the dude have a secretary or assistant?

smonster (and anyone else in her general line of work), do you know anything about the Global Reporting Initiative [link] ? How is it perceived among people who work in your field?
