Yeeeeah, I don't think calling while eating is the best idea. I recall doing it once, but it was with a friend I knew would find it hilarious and enjoyable.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
About the calls: you could always say you'd rather call her back later at an agreed-upon time, then make a point of doing it.
Yeah, especially with the time change, calling my friends on the east coast when I'm in the car or walking somewhere is pretty much when I call them!! On weekend days, occasionally, but, I figure they're busy then too!

I like it. I'm on it.
Oh my, I hope I didn't kill the thread with my whining.
Nah.
Had an awesome dinner. Eggplant Marsala, which I would have assumed would be totally common, a la eggplant v. chicken parmesan. And yet, about three recipes online. None of which I used, me being me.
Also minted peas, with mint from the garden and fresh shelled peas from the farmers market. Nom. This prompted the discovery that I have yet another cat who is mad for peas. WTH, cats?
I'm in the 2nd half of the Ger vs Aus match. Sad to see Aussies getting their butts kicked. All I can think about is, those stupid horns the audience is blowing sound like a nasty swarm of bees.
omnis, after watching 1.5 games, I had to stop watching. The horns! I actually sighed with relief when I changed the channel.
I think they are more annoying than the "Thunder Sticks" at the Angels baseball game. And if both fans are blowing, how can you show you are cheering for your team? I guess I'm looking for logic in football.
ION- I think I left Dallas too soon. The Sound Designer that is working on "It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman" at my old job, well, he just won the Tony Award for Best Sound Design. Hats off to you Robert Kaplowitz. Congrats.
{{Bonny}} What everyone said about it. I have nothing smart to add.
And congrats, Seska!
Edit, for you amusement, I hereby introduce a real scene from my afk life, from a week ago:
Fellow Students, leaving the room after the class was ending: Shir, we'll be outside, smoking.
Me (confused): Is there something you need from me?
FS (surprised, defensive): We're trying to be friendly.
I think I skipped the "Mingling and Making Friends 101" class (Never mind that in the end of year, everyone wants to be my friend. Because I take notes).
