meara, the fatigue monster sure is getting around this weekend. I've been a useless lump, staring vacantly into space for most of the time I haven't been asleep, which hasn't been much. Where you're too tired to watch television? Yeah, just give it up and go back to bed.

It seems to be an epidemic of fatigue. I've been doing nothing more than skimming all over the internet to keep me occupied and ignoring chores I know need to be done. The only thing (semi)useful that I got done yesterday was getting about 800 words of fic written. And I need another 3400 by this Thursday. Oy.

Due to a misrememberng on my part, I had to quickly dismantle the cabinet above the refrigerator alcove to fit it in, but still?

I want to see a World Cup game, and do it in style (read: with Buffistas).

I think I'm gonna pick a wi-fi pub/bar with LCD screen, grab a beer-replacement, my laptop and ignore the looks.

You only live once, dammit. But I do want to pick a game with many eye candies to watch. The days I watched football out of pure appreciation of the game are over.

There are plenty of times when I get home from work to find that there have been 200 posts all about shoes and cilantro so I just click on the "recent" button so I can pick up the conversation from there. After a while you kinda get the hang of it. And no one really expects people to read every post.

A moment of vanity: last night, one of the most famous artists/internet personas (the intellectual kind, yes?) in Israel DMed me on Twitter, asking me for my blog's address and the meaning of ANT.

6 hours later, I was added to 4 of his lists, including one answering the description of "deep thoughts", which has 7 other accounts on it, alongside people like Clay Shirky, Sheizaf Rafaeli, John Brockman and William Gibson, with a complimenting DM back about my writing to seal the deal.

I'm so fucking beyond honored just to be mentioned in such of a list.
