Dear headline writers,
You do no favors to yourselves and others by writing things like
Police search for missing in Ark flooding.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

you guys are hard to keep up with! But you seemed like fun people =)
Don't be afraid to skip and skim when necessary, zuisa. There are plenty of times when I get home from work to find that there have been 200 posts all about shoes and cilantro so I just click on the "recent" button so I can pick up the conversation from there. After a while you kinda get the hang of it. And no one really expects people to read every post.
A moment of vanity: last night, one of the most famous artists/internet personas (the intellectual kind, yes?) in Israel DMed me on Twitter, asking me for my blog's address and the meaning of ANT.
6 hours later, I was added to 4 of his lists, including one answering the description of "deep thoughts", which has 7 other accounts on it, alongside people like Clay Shirky, Sheizaf Rafaeli, John Brockman and William Gibson, with a complimenting DM back about my writing to seal the deal.
I'm so fucking beyond honored just to be mentioned in such of a list.

What do you mean, you don't want to know my opinions of cilantro?!
But seriously, zuisa. We understand that you have a life someone that's not here. And we're cool with it.
I dunno, shoes and cilantro? How will I ever pull myself away?
But seriously, thanks for the welcome, everyone =)
Can I just say how awesome and educaional (and respectful) the convo between Shir and TB has been? Thanks guys!
Always nice to see a delurker (when I type that word, I can't help but think of the Star Trek Red Alert sound, and imagining a Romulan bird of prey miraging into reality. I know, I'm a geek! Don't judge me!)
I totally do, too!
My mom and stepdad called around 11:00 to say they were on our side of town and did we want to meet them for Indian for lunch? Hell YEAH we did! Nom.
Now we're back home to be good worker bees (dishes, laundry, cutting out coupons, cooking a batch of edamame for lunches for the week [all that is me]; compost, mowing the lawn, vacuuming [all that is The Boy]).
Possibly a break later to go see The A-Team.

I hear there's a credits cookie.
I like cookies!
...wait.
And no one really expects people to read every post.
I read every post. ... What, you mean I don't have to know what everyone had for lunch?

The gentleman has discovered what we of Buffista-land already knew: Shir rocks.

Oh, Word on that. I've learned a lot, and gotten a mild headache, and needed a little drink, and felt like tiptoeing in the presence of people way smarter than me.
What do you mean, you don't want to know my opinions of cilantro?!Will you come here for dinner if I take your cilantro preference into account in planning the meal?
