Right, what's a little sweater sniffing between sworn enemies?

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Herding cats for fun

What a mean thing to say about Detroit. For goodness sakes.

I found out that a dental implant will cost me about $3,400. I think I'd rather live with a missing tooth and have me some LASIK surgery instead.

Oh, and I still have blue hair. The color is down to a tint, but it's quite obvious. I still think it's pretty, but my out of town relatives took it to mean that I am weird. Like, duh. How long have those people known me?

Now I am having fantasies about dying my hair green, putting it up in a beehive and decorating it like a Christmas tree. I'll have twinkling LED lights and a bunch of mistletoe hanging over my forehead, I'll have a quilted tree skirt around my neck and a necklace of presents and Santa flying over it all... it will be made of awesome.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm charging my iPod. The oral surgeon said that I can listen to it while he's taking out my tooth. What's good tooth music? The only thing I've decided on is Stevie Nicks to start with, because that's been my "calm down and don't think about the pain" music for a while now.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

If my experience is anything to go by, you can put one song on repeat and be perfectly happy.

t kermit wave at Katerina

Poor Emmett. That sounds like no fun.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

So, Emmett has Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease

Oh, poor Emmett - I thought most kids got this when they were toddler/preschool age. (Dylan had it last summer, and our neighbor's son the same age just had it last month.) It's probably even less fun to get it as a teenager, though at least at this age he can distract himself with video games/TV/books, and probably isn't pitching a fit about being forced to nap.

Not javachik

A pretty picture and just enough info to get your attention but not enough that you can figure out where it is without subscribing (unless, of course, you recognize a picture) to their newsletter.

I get surfing rage, kind of like the road rage I feel when someone signals right and then turns left across two lanes right in front of me. Web pages *should* be better than that, dang it.

Katerina Bee! Hi! We need to do lunch. I love the idea of the Christmas tree hair. You could make cards and sell them, or just use them for your holiday cards, if you send them.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Poor Emmett! Get well soon to him.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Web pages *should* be better than that, dang it.

The Internet isn't all free, nor should it be. It wouldn't work that way.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, poor Emmett - I thought most kids got this when they were toddler/preschool age.

Yeah, it's not that common after age ten. It wasn't until she saw the sores on his feet and put it together that she realized what it was. He's probably halfway through it by now though. Should be better by the weekend.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

So, Emmett has Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease

Poor guy! Good thing he went to the doctor, even though he's well enough to go to school.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Poor Emmett! At least it's something interesting.

Katerina Bee! I'm glad to see your font around here again! I vote Aye on the Christmas-tree hair.
