It turns out my friend T's bridal shower is the same weekend I am helping to throw a shower for my cousin. It probably wouldn't have been feasible for me to go to TX twice this year and she didn't come to mine, but somehow it just feels so wrong not to be there. We've been BFF's since we were in first grade.

Why must you be slightly louder than all the other teevee? WHY????I swear this is my biggest pet peeve with commercials. I wouldn't scramble so determinedly for my remote if they weren't suddenly so damned loud that my brain hurt.
I cannot understand how, in this day and age where so many people dvr or watch in alternate ways, why they have to make commercials as irritating as possible. Especially when there are event like the Superbowl that often show good and entertaining commercials.
Seriously, advertisers, you want us to watch your ads. It's the whole point. Stop peeing on us and failing to even pretend it's rain.
I find I like grey days, and appreciate the sunny ones more. That there's such an abundance of dynamic landscape here I don't miss the one I was steeped in for decades. This is home, and I love it.
I'm like this in the PNW as well. Well, once I got the allergies and asthma more under control.

Thanks, Cass! And the best part is because they are Doc Marten's so I was able to walk the mall today without my back or my legs trying to kill me.
