I'm watching a show about the dark ages. It's very funny hearing things like, "Clovis wasn't above using murder as a tool." and, "Everyone knew that to speak up in Clovis's court was a very bad idea."
Willow ,'Get It Done'
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh, that Clovis. What a devilbunny!
Great news about Fay!
ION- I got to slip away from work early. Yipee. I was falling asleep in my chair. It's a good thing when I am bored in tech. But if I can go home, I'd rather go home. That's an advantage to getting paid hourly (of sorts). Every hour I work over 40, I get 1.5 hours off somewhere down the line. So management wants me out sooner rather than later. Woot! So 73 1/4 hours this week. My first week of work, I earned a nice paycheck and over a week off in the future.
Too bad my stupid Charter DVR wasn't smart enough to record the final LOST. I'll watch it OnDemand tomorrow.
{{{JZ}}} and {{{Sean}}}.
I'm glad to hear the news about Fay. Thanks for the update.
I don't think he is a bad guy...just stupid, unprepared and unconscious
Sadly, that statement is true to so many people out there.

Lady, step away from the pseudo-History Channel. It is Bad and Misleading (as in, about 65% accurate, but uses the same Hollywood narrative to tell every story. exactly. the. same).
I thought some people here might appreciate this comic: link
Har! story of my life. when you have very little to do, very little gets done.
It was clearly painful to her, but he just didn't see that. She is an overweight person and it made me cringe every time he used the word BIIIG when talking to her.
I don't think he is a bad guy...just stupid, unprepared and unconscious. Ick.
Sounds like a bad guy to me.

My Clovis thinks the original Clovis had some good ideas, but clearly didn't know how to win and influence minions.
I can't read twitter until we've been able to ahem That Finale. (Can't believe people with satellite TV got to see it at 5am. I'd have got up for that.)
My poor little hamster Hamish is squealing because I cleaned her cage. She likes to live in squalor.
Good news about Fay - thanks, WindSparrow.
Poor Hamish. You'll get used to the funny smell of clean.
Why did I get up at 5am? Unlike when I got up at 2am and 4am, this is voluntary. Daniel's got a stupid staff meeting he has to go in ultra early for, so I'm up to bandage his leg. As that wound is making some real progress in healing, I'm not about to set us back by not getting the job done. The crappy thing is, my bosses call a staff meeting, I can whine at them. While I've been fantasizing about calling up Daniel's bosses to tell them what I really think about them, I am actually awake and sane enough to realize that would be a grave tactical error. Also I've had to give the cats a snack. They think me getting up and coming downstairs means it is breakfast time. And there is no way in heck I'm actually going to get up again at the time they usually get their gooshy food. So, small smackerel of snack now, proper brekky later.

I'm really glad to hear this!
Good news re Fay and Daniel.
sj, I thought I was the only Pearls Before Swine fan.
As for our cats -- not a good weekend. Max seems to be finally getting over the anesthesia from the scans last week, and he has to go through more tests on Wednesday. The scans show -- something inflammatory is doing a number on his lungs. We need to figure out what it is before we can treat it. So he gets the lung wash on Wednesday. He also has a mass in his nose that is very likely cancer. A biopsy is needed to find out what kind of cancer it is to figure out how to treat it. But Max is in rough enough shape as it is -- there will be real risks just going through the lung wash, and he's in no shape for cancer treatments. (Luckily, if I can say that in this situation, nasal cancer tends to grow slowly.)
To complicate matters, last night I accidentally gave Marie the appetite stimulant that had been prescribed for Max (mitrazapine). The mitrazapine reacted with the Reconcile (Prozac) that she's been on, and she was high as a kite. As in, Hubs took her to the emergency room. (He's the one who saw her behavior and decided to act.) Marie is resting comfortably at the hospital, Hubs stayed home to sleep in, and I'm at work full of gronk.
