I'm vegan, so restaurants that serve only seafood or only barbecue usually don't have anything that I will eat,
I think that this sounds argumentative. I would suggest something like.
"I am available for dinner, but wanted to let you know that I am vegan. If you're not familiar with vegan options in the area, Thai, Mexican and Italian menus usually have vegan friendly choices. Thanks again for the invitation, and see you on the 21st!"
Hil, I'd tweak it a little bit so it reads more like this:
Thank you for your response. I look forward to meeting you and touring the campus. I will be available for dinner, but please note that I am vegan. Thai, Mexican, or Italian restaurants usually provide the greatest number of options. Seafood- and barbecue-only places usually do not have any dishes that I can eat.

And now they are napping.
Today is made of fail. There was a water main break, so our water is running brown, so no shower, no laundry etc. And I cannot find my glasses which I need in order to drive to the pharmacy and pick up some medical supplies that I am out of. Bah!
Heh. I went over to my old house last night to drop off a check for the final water bill to my uncle.

He was SO MAD at me. Like, I could feel the anger radiating off of him. He would barely look at me and when he did, he looked like he was barely restraining himself from hitting me in the face. I don't think I will be seeing him by myself anymore. Not that I have any reason to see him from here on out, but still. He's mentally ill and mentally unstable and I'd just really rather not put myself in a situation where I might have to defend myself.

Sigh- I just was thinking about going out for lunch but I am sooo not motivated. Lounging with the cats in bed is really bad for that, it seems.
