Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Fay, stay safe!

sj, glad the pain is better

Today is a nice day- I am currently at a Community Coffee coffee shop using the wifi and I think I will go open a local bank account, then go to Mahoney's for a po' boy for lunch.

Then check out how comfy the daybed is that I want to buy for our sitting room, and then maybe a nap.

Tonight: Going to the Avenue Pub for this: [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sounds like a good day, Nora. The Avenue Pub, btw, has good burgers (though the quality can vary with different bartenders) and excellent bloody marys.

Safety~ma Fay and the cat Daniel!

Maybe this is early menopause. The period itself is almost a non-event, except for the usual physical logistics and cramps--which are blissfully getting easier. But the week beforehand is becoming hell, with the anxiety and the weird sleep and the general urge to destroy everything in range. I despise being a victim of my body chemistry. Have any other Buffistas gone through menopause, and what have they done to cope? I'm really, really, really looking forward to the monthly amusement going away, but I don't want it to be at the price of my sanity.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Fay, hang in there. Connie, my mom had breast cancer, then tamoxifen, so fairly instant menopause. I wouldn't recommend this method.

Our wings are not tired.

It has been almost 10 years for me, Connie. I have to say it was pretty much a non-event for me. Hot flashes, mostly in the form of night sweats. The doctor had me try HRT, but it was horrible for me with deep depression; the same reaction I had previously with BCPs. I used over the counter supplements, in particular a product called Promensil and I believe that helped a lot.

Yay, that sounds a bit hard core.

I used over the counter supplements, in particular a product called Promensil and I believe that helped a lot.

Those are a type of soy supplement, aren't they? Off to Google!

Our wings are not tired.

Both the progesterone cream and promensil are much cheaper via ebay or other on line sources.
