I have a thermometer because I without i just think maybe the room is hot even with a high fever. Or I'll think I have the ague for no reason at all. Thermometer keeps me a little saner.
Eff this work thing indeed, Glam! I hope you get to enjoy lots and lots of sweet baby time evenings and weekends and he expends all his grumpiness and whatnot on your lovely wife (not that she deserves it, that just goes with the extra baby time)
Yay Nora and Tom in NO! I hope Tom's first days of work are fantastic and y'all's NEXT weekend is more like it's supposed to be.
I read
The Stand
over a weekend when I was also obsessively listenting to a Howard Jones album. I can't hear him anymore without getting creeped out.

I'm not convinced you need
The Stand
for that. All you need is to listen to "Look Mama I Love You" in the wrong kind of mood.
{{{{Glamcookie}}}} that's a tough transition to make. May it go as smoothly as possible.
He will be in very capable hands (his Mommy's), but it will be the first time I've been away from him for more than 2 hours since he was born. Eff this work thing!
Is Mommy doing a leave now? That looks like what my sister and her hub are going to end up dong.

Oh, honey, eff this work thing, indeed. Lots of ~ma for tomorrow.
Glam, eff work indeed. Too bad ya can't get paid to just be Mom.
Nora & Tom, congrats on landing in NO! Best of luck for Tom on his first day. Maybe y'all can knock on a neighbors door and ask for a cup of sugar? And then go back later with a plate of cookies. It will make the new house smell yummy, and say "Hi, we are nice people" to your new neighbors.
Pix, good to see your pixels. How's the neck? I texted, but didn't call, for fear of waking you when you were snoozing. Hope you are doing better.
Thanks for the support. It is going to be tough.
Is Mommy doing a leave now?
Mommy is now a stay at home mommy! Our plan is to have her stay home until he starts preschool and then work part time. Hopefully my job will allow that to happen - they had a round of layoffs while I was out. Yikes.
Hang in there, GC. I can't imagine how tough that is, but I know that Mommy is going to be AWESOME.
Omnis, I'm much better today, thanks. B. stayed here all weekend and pampered me rotten, and the pain was much less this morning. (I'm convinced these two things are related.) Yay for good friends!
I'm still bummed about the school rejection, but I'm trying to let it go.
