I read The Stand over a weekend when I was also obsessively listening to a Howard Jones album. I can't hear him anymore without getting creeped out.
I'm not convinced you need The Stand for that. All you need is to listen to "Look Mama I Love You" in the wrong kind of mood.

Nora & Tom, congrats on landing in NO! Best of luck for Tom on his first day. Maybe y'all can knock on a neighbors door and ask for a cup of sugar? And then go back later with a plate of cookies. It will make the new house smell yummy, and say "Hi, we are nice people" to your new neighbors.

Mommy is now a stay at home mommy! Our plan is to have her stay home until he starts preschool and then work part time. Hopefully my job will allow that to happen - they had a round of layoffs while I was out. Yikes.

Omnis, I'm much better today, thanks. B. stayed here all weekend and pampered me rotten, and the pain was much less this morning. (I'm convinced these two things are related.) Yay for good friends!

I just entered the calendar for my next 2 weeks. 2 hours to do it! Yikes. Talk about starting a job at the start of crazy time. Then, they go on summer break. Sync'ing iPhone now, so it has all the craziness in it, telling me where I should be. What? Me? Nervous? Why would I be that? Oh ya, because it's all new folks with all new responsibilities in a new environment. Ya, nothing to be nervous about. Although, I will say, everyone has been real cool so far.
Old boss called tonight. Tonight was closing night of the last production I worked on in Dallas. He called as they were loading out the set to say hi, and he missed me.
Aw, that's nice. He's good people. I frequently wondered how many of the department heads were still there mostly because of him.
