Hang in there Nora and Tom sj -- hoping things improve
'Bring On The Night'
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yellow onions are 39 cents a pound here at the local Kwik Trip.
I'm in Olmpia. PC what city are you in?
sj, sending you all pain-easing thoughts.
Yay sun for Nora and Tom, and good thoughts for Tom's first work day, and a good exploratory day for Nora.
I spent a long time--well, maybe not so long--thinking of myself as an unsympathetic mom. I wanted to be the kisses and cuddles and there, there type of mom who soothed away the hurts and made things better with bactine and bandaids.
The reality was, someone would come in crying too hard to talk and I'd get all top sargent on them. "Shut up that crying! Stop it right now. I can't help till you tell me what's wrong, now stop crying!" Once we got to the sup-sup stage, when they could hold out an arm and I could see the hand dangling by a shred of skin and knew what I was dealing with, they'd stopped crying, so I took my tweezers and bactine and a Snoopy bandaid and made it all better. And by then they were mostly over the sup-sups and if I'd cuddled them they'd have broken down again, so I swatted their behind and sent them back outside.
And then had myself a private freakout and a little sniffle, 'cause--my baby! No hurt baby!
For fun times? Read The Stand while wracked with a severe fever from a flu you caught from everyone else you know. Good times, good times.
Heh, or while stuck in traffic in a very long tunnel. {shudder}
That's kind of ridic. Where the hell are you buying your onions?
Oakland Safeway. White onions. $1.59/lb at the local grocery, but I don't remember them being that expensive there either.

CREEPY!
A very Buffista lake:
Typo Boy, they've named a lake after you!
We have a few thermometers, but we have kids, so I don't think we count.
Nora, I was going to tell you that I really get that "we just moved and I feel so alone" thing. It happens to me each time we move and each time, I'm glad I have the Buffistas because they aren't any farther away when I move to a new place.
