Is Israel One Of The World's Most Science Fictional Nations?
Are journalists running out of stupid questions?
Dunno. Maybe 9/11 did it. I mean, it surely gets as excuse to many things.
Edit: my Lord, my grammar!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, renting is good sometimes. Water heater needs to be replaced. And there are squirrels in my outside storage room which needs the ceiling fixed and a new door. I am totally calm about all of it. Because I know the squirrels can't get into my actual abode.
My Church camp was not so aggressively "church" as many people think of it I suppose. It was out of the tradition where churches built places in the woods for kids to go when it was hot, not so much a desire to turn out virginal scripture-parroting automatons.
After a while, as the Religious Right became more loudly neither, we were very explicit about calling it CHURCH or PRESBYTERIAN camp and never BIBLE or ::shudder:: CHRISTIAN camp.
We said grace. We sang two songs after meals, one had to be vaguely religious. There was a pastor to talk to if something bugged you. Our bible studies happened twice a week and we discussed how the passage related to our lives. We talked about being good to each other, being forgiving, reaching out to strangers and the unloved. It was a very good place to grow up.
I was a camper and then a counselor and have a lot of friends from that place to this day. Facebook has been a boon for reconnecting with so many more. My sister met her husband there as teenagers and while she's pretty much agnostic and he's an athiest it is still home.
I still marvel at how different my experience of religion has been from so many others. I'm still not convinced that it isn't somehow the statistical norm.
Stupid questions are more renewable than wind power. I'm very sloppy about the shaving thing...kind of if I wear a short skirt or start having deodorant failures.ETA: Did crip camp twice...mostly learned that there are a host of other reasons why people don't "get" me not related to the chair.
"I do not know what that means. But I can say, everything has changed in NY since 9/11".
But 9/11 was only 9 years ago, not the 13 of your alleged crimeful lapse.
At least come up with a better excuse for extortion, petty bureaucrat!
"All these mopes in handcuffs, not a one of 'em named Osama." I could probably have a whole day of posting just Wire quotes. Wouldn't be especially *gracious* conversation, but I doubt that would ping anyone here
My half-assed eye shadow got sparkles all over my face. I feel like a rouge Cullen.

I went to a Presbyterian Church growing up and in high school the camp was in a private bay on Catalina Island. It was tough, let me tell you. I also attended the Presbyterian Youth Triennium which was like summer camp on steroids.
My high school for grades 10-12 was a different story. It was associated with a baptist church that then later swung so far to the right that they split from the Baptists. That's the school that is associated with the church that Timothy LaHaye (author of the Left Behind books) founded. I did go to a camp through the school one summer. It was crazy evangelical and I had a miserable experience.
My elementary school was associated with a Lutheran Church and for grades 6 to 9 I attended a secular prep school.
Has she tried this? [link] It's a lifesaver.
Hmmm, really? Plei, I may ask you questions about it later.
I never went to camp. Ever. I also have never seen Steel Magnolias.
