Simon: I, uh... I never-never shot anyone before. Book: I was there, son. I'm fair sure you haven't shot anyone yet.

'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oops. Boy did I step in it. My old roomie from college had a Facebook post about status update "in a relationship", and I thought it was a "oops, i forgot to check this box that I am married", and was I trying to be cute and say "does Missy know about it". Forgetting that there is drama right now in that household, cheating somewhere, not sure who/what/where.

Ugg. I need more sleep and less work.

Oh dear.

[link] My sister is thrilled that Sayulita is listed as #1 place to retire in the world (according to this newsrag's rating system) since she has three rental flats there (all inquiries welcome) but isn't it pretty bad newsletter writing if NONE of the locales is identified in the piece? I recognize Sayulita and am curious about the other four but not enough to look harder for names or links. Or actually subscribe to find out.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Not if they want you to pay money for the whole article. It's teaser copy. Just enough to get your interest. Or, in this case, retirees interest. A pretty picture and just enough info to get your attention but not enough that you can figure out where it is without subscribing (unless, of course, you recognize a picture) to their newsletter.

Of course if that piece is written by the Sayulita Commission, it's crap. Because it doesn't tell you where to visit.

So I guess my answer depends.

the stage manager is 2 rows in front of me with a bowl of what smells like red beans & rice. It smells yummy. I am hungry. Dinner break isn't for another 90 minutes. TORTURE! Oh the agony!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I have a house (yay!) with a fully functional bathroom (double yay!) and am all moved in (triple yay!) and posted photos on lj, link to which is posted on facebook. Internets has been purchased and is up and running and i think that might mean i'm back :) I have, however, skipped awhole lotta posts.

Felt the need to share that it must be the season, for i had an ACC anxiety dream last night entirely centered around how much of an a**hole that director was. I still have bad feelings towards him which i thought i had gotten past. But apparently, no. Two ACC-free years later. oh well!

Happy belated-overstuffing day to all the USians. We had a riot at Toys R Us Thursday night. Seriously. People need to calm down about the shopping.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay for all those house-related yays!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, erin! Congratulations! I hope you are very happy in your new home.

That's great, erin! May your time in the house be long and happy.
