I don't mind how they look ungroomed, but cleaned up it helped make it look like I gave a fuck about my face, without me actually having to do something on a daily basis. Which meets my level of laziness tidily.
Groomed brows and a slick of lipstick can be the best way to look put together in summer for me.

Omnis, are you fairly settled in at your new place? Do you like it? I can't imagine moving into a place that I hadn't seen before.
Doing ok. Got the cd's unpacked. 1/4 of the books. Clothes. Kitchen. Most of the entertainment center. Doing ok. Got CA insurance & registration. Almost got drivers license, but seems NY has a hold on me and says I can't. I haven't lived there for 13 years! WTF?
The apartment is actually pretty nice. Not fully sight un seen. D made a nice video of the apartment and building. D and I go back to 95 or so. I trust her. She says it's good, it's good.
That said, I'm starting a day early, Friday. Get the paperwork all done. Keys. Tour. Etc.

Funny kudzu should come up, because I have discovered since I first shaved down there (which is much less itchy than trimming) that if I let it grow back, it does in fact rather resemble kudzu. So I'll be grooming for life.

Too lazy to even managed the lipstick, sadly. For a while, I'd actually put on a little eye makeup, just enough to emphasise the shape of the eyelids and brows--no colour. But those days are long gone. I don't use my mirror much anymore, except to work out when I need a new haircut.

OMG Erin, were you also a JCLer? I went to national latin conventions every year through high school. I liked how i was totally cool and popular there, tho most certainly not at school. Plus, tons of "this one time at Latin camp..." stories that make great ice breakers with geeks. Plus i captained my school's Certamen team even tho i was just the mythology and culture specialist and usually Captains are grammar geeks.
I wax my legs about twice a year, with a round of shaving a week or two before to level out the growth. everything else gets tweezed... time-consuming habit resulting from years spent in a swimsuit, combined with super dark hair and super pale, translucent skin. (I can see my hairs a good half inch before they break the skin so shaving never got rid of the look of stubble.)
