Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My underarms I have shave every couple of days to keep the stubble down. Unfortunately my underarm hair is really dark and my skin is really pale so it stands out. I dont' wear many sleeveless tops but I have a surprising number of tops if I raise my arm you can see my underarms.
and I have to get my chin and lip waxed on a regular basis, soon I will be like my mom and have to get my whole face waxed.
I used to shave once a week but since I lost my job it's been whenever I start to feel like a gorilla.
I shave my legs and underarms every other day, sometimes every day in the summer.

I think I am going to look into sugaring for this. Pale skin + darkish hair + Eastern European ancestry = fuzzy. Which I am not okay with. (Pete has learned that werewolf jokes don't go over well with me. At the very least I glare and say "No, VAMPIRE".)
Gah, I'm lazy. I should shave twice a week, but I generally only shave my legs once a week (in warm weather). In cold weather, I can go a long time without shaving, and generally only do if I think people might be seeing my bare legs or pits.
Waxing hurts like a motherfucker, but the one and only time I had my legs waxed, before we went to the beach 2 years ago, the results were awesome and lasted forever. We're going back to the beach in July, so I might cowgirl up and get my legs waxed again. (But seriously, I am a PANSY about how bad it hurts -- god DAMN!)
For matters facial and fuzz I have become very fond of threading.
Right now my broke-ass self is hitting the 5x and a tweezer, but generally-speaking, threading is pretty economical. If I could find someone to thread my bikini line I'd never touch wax again.
I sort of hate everyone who doesn't have to shave or otherwise remove hair in order to NOT be met with stares of horror.
I'm hairier than my only male sibling. It's like I'm part monkey or something. I also have wickedly sensitive skin that hates the whole hair removal process, but if I don't remove it, I wind up with seriously nasty ingrows. So.
I've actually done a fairly good job at plucking out the wild long hairs from my chin & jaw but there are bunch of fine ones I just need to get waxed.
My brows would probably look better if they were waxed but they aren't hideous so I wax the lower part of my face.
SLNRLBF is going to be here in TWO WEEKS from tomorrow so I need to call and get an appointment for the waxing and a haircut.
Oooh, threading! I need to look into that. That was the other thing I was considering, along with sugaring.

This is what I'm afraid of. You would think after the various tattoos I've gotten, the idea of waxing wouldn't make me nervous. Also, I have sensitive skin, and am starting to become prone to ingrown hairs on my legs (not cool, body. Do not want.), so I need to figure out SOMETHING.

Me, too. I feel you on that.
And, gah, I need to de-fur my eyebrows. I was going to do that tonight, and so far I've managed to cut up strawberries and taunt the dog.
My skin is really sensitive to waxing. Whenever I go to get my face waxed, I warn the beautician that I have really sensitive skin, and she nods and say "OK" as if she's heard all this before, and then she pulls off the first wax strip and watches in horror as my skin turns bright red.
