Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I dyed my hair invisible.
Huh. Cool!
Very cool, Sean. How often will you be doing the roots?
Also, poor Matilda! Feel better soon, kiddo.
Matilda heeded your instructions until about quarter to three, poor lamb.
Much in all as I'm proud that my son is a burgeoning trendsetter, I do hope that one day he'll start using his powers for good.
Meanwhile, on the back of Ryan's incident we simplified our Mother's Day plans (no trips of any distance). But it was still fun. Ryan perked up a lot for the rest of the day. Wallybee went off for a well-deserved massage. In the evening we all took a walk to the local fish and chip shop to pick up some dinner (not quite what we'd originally planned, but still a very enjoyable meal). Wallybee fell asleep in front of the TV, watching Doctor Who, Bones and Castle. All things considered, I think it was a success.
Whoa. There was a postdoc that I applied for. It was a huge long shot -- I knew that there are a ton of people way more qualified than me -- but it was posted pretty late in the job search process, after a lot of those people would have already found positions, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I just got an email saying that I'm a finalist.
Hil, that is FABULOUS!
Fantastic, Hil!
Wow Hil! That's wonderful!
Also, {{Zen}}. You're a good kitty-mother. We all make mistakes with our pets, sometimes. Whatever they may be, it's still a lot better than letting them live in the street. And most importantly? You don't mean to do your pets harm. Much ~ma to the both of you.
Hil, that's exciting news!
