Just keep walking, preacher-man.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Omg somebody kill me. I missed the train, screwing my plans to take my dad out to dinner, and by the time the next train got in and I met up with them my sister and her bf had been at the bar for three hours, and started fighting like 10 minutes before I got there, and now she's spent an hour and a half close talking at me about eveything wrong with them. Halp.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Oy, Brenda. That sucks. I wish we could form a rescue squad and rush down there to save you.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Dear news outlets: Take a look at the box. That is not a dome. Stop calling it a dome.

When someone says 100 ton dome, I expect a big-assed dome that's dome shaped, not a five story outhouse.

Also, wind knocked a large branch on top of our roof, including power wires. Should I call power company?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, Brenda. I hate being in that kind of situation.

DCJ, yes, call the power company. Now.

Cashmere, that is too cute!

Oh god. Now the bf is coming to me for advice. I like him a lot, generally. But it's all "wow, isn't it crazy how hysterical she is? Is she going to chill out?" Jackhole.

Well, here's a day to note. I have *literally* both face palmed and headdesked (headbarred?) today. Not both related to the sister situation.

Oh good god, Brenda, that sucks. And awkward. Blah.

Annoying rueful situation of the evening: there's a girl who's been coming to dancing who is very cute. When she first started coming, she was clearly with this other girl, but lately it seems like perhaps she's single. Was talking with my friend tonight, about her, as cutie and I had danced (we have most weeks for the past several) and she told me while we were talking that she's an air traffic controller (...intriguing). And my friend and I were like "Hmm. Also, possibly single?"

The single part was confirmed later this evening...by the fact that we saw her meet someone, flirt, exchange numbers, and then start making out. Sigh. Guess I'm not her type....

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Sorry, meara.

And {{Hil}}. I hope you're better now. It was a tough call, but from what you told lately, I think you have very solid base not to worry.

Now the bf is coming to me for advice

One of the worst mistakes I ever made was getting involved in a relationship between one of my best friends and a friend of mine. They loved each other, but constantly needed translation, which by knowing both deeply, I provided. That was my lesson that love isn't always enough, and that that guy was actually a narcissist jerk.

We're having a heatwave (after having 2 days of rain, 3 days ago). It's too hot for me to have french toast, I think, at least with tea.

This summer is ruining my food plans!
