Okay, I am at Kindergarten orientation. The letter was clearly addressed to parents and said nothing about bringing your kids. So i didn't bring Ellie because there is another screening next week for kids. Of course, everyone else has their future kindergartner with them. I have already failed school-age parenting.

ImemememeNews, I ended up calling in sick today because when I left school last night (at 9:30!!), a piece of my car was hanging off the underside. I thought it was part of my exhaust system. Took it to the shop today and it turned out to be a loose heat shield (I don't know what that is, that's just what I was told). They put it back on and tightened it up and I was on my merry way in 10 minutes. Best part? Cost=$0. Yay!!! Easiest car repair ever!!

Stephanie, that's the sort of thing that happens to me all the time. I'll do what seems obvious to me given the instructions, and everyone else will have done something else, and they'll be right and I'll think, wtf, am I a dummy? Frustrating.
