Thanks Dana, but if they are still interviewing, I think the chances are good that I didn't blow them away.
Or that they had the interviews already scheduled. Here in softwareland, if someone has been scheduled for an interview, the company has to go through with the interview. Even if there's another candidate they've already met and prefered.
Vortex, they didn't have interviews scheduled past this week at the time I interviewed, which means these are candidates they decided to pursue after meeting me and seeing me teach.
I don't mean to be a downer. Sorry.
See! You know I'm totally right if Jilli says the same thing.
I read all the posts. I have no energy for responding. Interview~ma for Hil and yay Torchwood for Shir and that's all I can manage. I was at the polls for five hours today, taking down people's random numbers (it was vaguely in aid of the Lib Dems), with far larger crowds than I've ever seen before. Right now the exit polls are depressing and suggest that my little party has actually lost seats. I'm hoping the universe will forgive me and become a better place while I sleep. I'm watching QI.
{{{Pix}}} You're still in the running, lady!
Just poking in to say I had a really scary Supernatural/Gilmore Girls dream the other night. WTF? "Rory's in trouble!" Good Lord, my head is a silly place.
Oh damn.
A teenage brother of an so-called internet-friend person, who is still close enough, is dying. Like, dying-dying, final hours.
What's acceptable? I'm pretty sure we'll be able to come up with his address to get flowers to be sent there, but I'm not sure if it's a custom, and anyhow, it seems too little. So too little.
Shir, nothing is too little. I remembered being overwhelmed by the number of my friends who just came to my dads service. Any gesture is appreciated and will be remembered.
Thanks. He's of course overseas, and he will have to fly in and out of the country for the service (they lived in separate continents), so there's not much we can do.
Yicks. His death is so weird.
