Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Shir, nothing is too little.

This.

I am so sorry.

Oh, Shir, I am so sorry.

And to Pix, I'm also sorry that the people at Potential School did not realize your awesomeness right away, but I'm holding out hope! It sucks, though, in the interim, no doubt about it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm sorry to hear that, shir.

even if wikipedia doesn't have it quite right, what it does have is creepy. And intriguing.

Wikipedia is close enough for you guys to get a basic understanding. (And Supernatural, for that matter, although it was a slightly weird representation there and not as close.) Like all things in life, it's more complicated than wikipedia can get into.

This is the part where you can start to ignore anything I have to say because, clearly, I'm crazy. But suffice it to say that we have had direct interaction with skinwalkers, in both human and animal form, as have people we know and trust, and it's not something I hope to repeat.

The bit I found funny from the article is that Navajo people don't like to talk about skinwalkers at night. Neither do I! I've called off conversations before because I didn't want to go into stuff about them at night. Hee.

Pix, extra strong job~ma headed your way.

I just had a yummy dinner out with my friend H, who stubbornly insisted on paying to thank me for watching the baby yesterday.

I'm considering my job options. I'm pretty strongly leaning toward saying no to the school in Georgia even if I don't get an offer from either of the other two that I interviewed with this week. It's not just the location, it's also the job -- I know what classes I'd be teaching there, and it's ones that I really do not like teaching. My father suggested seeing if there was someplace where I could live comfortably and commute to that job, and I've been playing around with Google Maps a bit, but everywhere that I'd want to live is at least an hour away by those directions, which I know would be a lot more with traffic.

I just really hope that I do get offers from at least one of those other two.

Douglasville would be about 30 miles either way, Hil, and Douglasville is moving towards suburbia. The traffic between Douglasville and Carrollton should be minimal. The traffic between Douglasville and central Atlanta can be horrendous, but not usually on the weekend. On Friday afternoons, you'd be against traffic part of the way.

I looked at some stuff about Douglasville, and it just doesn't seem like it's for me. I can't totally explain why, but I'm just getting a "no" feeling.

Smyrna is cool, but it would be much longer drive to work. The traffic should be okay once you get to I-20.
