Yes. Lucky for you, people may be in danger.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Ohh! Naomi, it's not quite it, but what about entering "juxtapositioning" somewhere in there? Socio/anthro field seriously digs this word.

Alternatives that comes to my mind and from Google: dynamic, analytic, argumentative, polemical, a posteriori argument, conditional, synthetic, pilpulistic.

Any may I suggest - when in need, turn to math/physics metaphors. Always works for me.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

where did Kara pick up Fake Yiddish?

I do not know where she picked up the fake yiddish. I'd be tempted to say Star Wars: The Clone Wars because she watches it a lot, but I'm pretty sure that's not it.

They're living on the east side of Cleveland, now, right?

We're in South Euclid, which is on the east side, but not as far out/expensive as Shaker. There is a large Jewish population on this side of town, though.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

David, I think consilience is the closer of the two. Hmm.

Shir, juxtaposition isn't bad either. I will play with this and some of your other ideas in sentences, and see how they all sound. I've never heard the term 'pilpulistic' before. I love how quintessentially Jewish its meaning is. Would like to be able to use maths/physics metaphors, but I am afraid of numbers.

Andi, I love the dream with dictionary69.com in it!

You don't need numbers to say "interaction", "matrix", or to understand and use the very first elements of Quantum Theory (which, IMHO, brought pomo to us). That's the beauty of it.

Think of what Whedon said in Equality Now speech, that equality is like gravity. That's the level of metaphors I'm talking about. They sound great, and even if you can't intellectualize them, you can feel it, understand it in some sort of level.

All is well that ends in pizza.

dictionary69.com doesn't appear to be a valid address.

Probably active in the FringeVerse...

GoDaddy will sell it for $11/year, Andi...

I refuse to believe that there isn't a valid sex dictionary, somewhere on the WWW.

... right?

ION - juxtapositioning between F.J. Turner theory on the American Frontier and Simmel's The Metropolis and Mental Life is working out great. Sadly, it might end up only as a footnote, but I hope to make a paragraph out of it.

Is true, but I don't even understand the most philosophical of mathematical concepts. I did read and even sometimes follow A Brief History of Time, but I mostly remember images of black holes and strings that I made in my head. They are very cool images, though.

ETA: Off to see this [link] now. As a French horn player, The Girl is ridiculously excited about this play.

I'm sure there is.

It's that specific address that's up for grabs.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I have avoided having to do anything so drastic as housework (let alone grading) by noticing that the last 3 SG:A episodes will expire in 5 days on Hulu. Also, I went to the theatre and got fabric, to finish(ish) elf costumes that I wasn't supposed to have to make.
