[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Kara is some sort of Midwestern Fake Yiddish prodigy.

They're living on the east side of Cleveland, now, right? Shaker Heights isn't exactly all shiksas and goyim.

Hee. That one's funny.

Good luck on the paper, Shir. (Yay for Marx, Weber and Simmel!)

Arrg. Damn paper. Do not want to do sociology over the weekend (unless it's reading Latour/Taussig). Got three paragraphs so far, but they're good paragraphs. With the spacing, that should cover more than 1/2 a page. So only 18 more paragraphs to go!

ION. Sister is home! She's sleep now, but earlier she showed us some pictures of her from the FB. I really want to share, but I've got to ask her permission and all that jazz.

Shit. May I have some ~ma to two of my friends?

Both are a lovely couple, living together for 10 years now. G's mom passed away from cancer few months back, after battling long and hard. He was very attached to her.

The mom's partner, who was a great guy all the way, turned his skin and now trying to stuck my friends with a huge loan he was supposed to pay for, which will leave my friends broke to the bone. So with the grief and all they have to sort this out, too.

Heh. I'm with you there. I'm impatient to get this nearly-finished dissertation DONE so I can move on to more interesting stuff. Yay for your sister being home!

A voice within me says that mine's an only 3 pages easy-yet-boring paper to write, and look at Naomi - she's doing a dissertation, God dammit, and you're complaining more than her.

So it seems like you're my alter ego now. Should I be afraid?

Very. (And - heh. You have not complained nearly as much as I have.) Also, shout if I can help with the dull paper at all. Also, also, can you find me a better word than 'dialectic' for an interplay of two issues that have underpinned my dissertation? If so, you get a cookie.
