I miss Oz. He'd get it. He wouldn't say anything, but he'd get it.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

I was in California in the 70's but I'm laughing too!

Coding and Sleeping

Well, I'm sympathetic to the concern over the debt, but I think there's a lot of overheated rhetoric. I also wonder where all these people were when GWB and the Republican senate and house were running up the deficit with Medicare part D, tax cuts with no offsetting spending cuts, all while funding a war.

I really don't understand where all the "Obama is taking away our freedoms" stuff comes from. The worst thing I can think of is the individual mandate on health insurance. I'm not thrilled about that either, but I understand how it needs to be there to offset the cost of consumer protections.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Bonus theme song for his next show, too. My mom couldn't believe it when my brother and I were kids and old Cal was still selling cars that same way. Some obnoxious music(that still sticks in your head, same anything-but-a-dog Spot.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Still alive. Hour 28. The movers are cool, just real slow. Two guys, both in 50's. Um. Ok. I'm first on truck. He has 5 other pickups. Likely take a week to get to ca. I'm going to lightly clean this place (fuck the deposit, it wasn't much), and get a hotel room. Shower. Pull the blackout curtains. And sleeeeeep. When I wake up, I'll jump on the road.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good plan, omnis!

Yay, Matt's new job!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Very glad Matt's happier, beth. Nothing sucks out your soul quite the way a corrosive work environment does.

Our wings are not tired.

Between B.org and my other forum, I am very excited at signs the economy seems to be picking up. Hil's job offer (and Matt's) comes at the same time as three other people who've been looking 6+ months for work. What a very good turn of events.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Tell me to back away slowly from the idiot Teabaggers. They're up in arms about this YouTube video:

Intimidated? living in DC, it's not unusual to see more than that on a regular basis. I used to get wanded and have my purse searched, with an occasional sniff by a dog, before going into church (when Shrub was in attendance).
