Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Bread is done, second cornbread is done, gingerbread is done. Bird and dressing and potatoes are ready for the oven. Carrots and beans are last-minute-ish preparations. House is in decent shape.

Dessert dilemma: second dessert (apple (with possible cranberry) pie or cobbler or crumble) vs. use the gingerbread as a base with apple (with possible cranberry) sauce/compotey business. The difference is basically presentation - something composed vs. serving the same basic fruit stuff in a separate pan, so not much more difficulty in prep either way.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Hope all you madly-cooking-and-baking people have fun this afternoon!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Amych, I vote cobbler because it will created one fewer dish to wash.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I've had my turkey and sides, and I've shared the meat with both my cat and Amyth's dog. (Merlot and Mythbusters ftw!) Now I'm eating the apple tart that I just threw together at the last minute and it's, holy Pomona, so good!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Calli, I was just going to ask how the Lu was doing. Sounds like she's doing quite well!

I have had my feast, at my other grandma's retirement community, and now we're looking at old photos. There's even a photo of my grandparents at the Copacabana on their honeymoon in 1944.

Lu seems ok. She's not sure what to make of my wii bowling strike booty dance, but then who would be?

Maybe you could ask your grandparents if you could have some copies, smonster. I love seeing photos of my family before I was around to know them, and I know I wish I had more of them.

“Not dead yet!”

Poking head in from packing/writing lurkerdom to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING to the USians and to add how very grateful I am for you guys.

Also, how very grateful I am than in less than two months I'm going to be SO MUCH CLOSER to many of you.

::blowing kisses and going back to making pie::

Hee. Meanwhile, I am closer to you right now, Barb!

We went down to check out the pools and the beach, earlier. The beach was lovely, but we just waded in. And then by the time we came back up to the room to change and changed our dinner reservation...suddenly the sky was all dark and grey, and we decided to watch some nice dog show on TV, and stuff. Maybe beach and pool later. Friend is napping... ;)

The tree is up. Half an hour in, and the cat's shown no real interest, in spite of a number of feathered, bird-shaped ornaments.

He's waiting until I leave for work on Monday, I just know it.
