Hil, call a cab a few minutes before you're done. What do you care about "silly"? It seems worth it to me.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
There's also a vegan soul food place in Atlanta. How much do I love that it's an actual genre? THIS MUCH.
much pick-Pix~ma! and healing~ma to Zoe.
No, there's a vegan soul food place in DC, too.
Durn prolfic Rastas.
(Please note: I like the Rastas themselves just fine, just got my hopes up is all)

The DC one and the Atlanta one are the same group of restaurants, run by the African Hebrew Israelites. They also have one in Chicago, and maybe one other. The one in NY is separate, and it's run by some Jamaican Rastafarian people.
I had vegan key lime pie at Cafe Gratitude (WE WERE AWAKENING) on Saturday, and it was SO GOOD. Avocado-lime custard, coconut meringue, pecan-macadamia date crust. Much better than expected.
Oh, poor Zoe!

Is it Soul Vegetarian? I know the Atlanta one pretty well and I wouldn't call them soul food. (I'd call them damn good, don't get me wrong.)
Also, in addition to the four star vegetarian restaurant down the block from me (come to Chicago and I'll take you there! I look for any excuse) I also recently found another that is largely vegan and that I'm hoping to try out at some point. It's not near me, so unless there's someone from out of town I probably won't ever get there.

Yeah, it's Soul Vegetarian. I think the menus are different, though I've only been to the Atlanta one once, and I got a salad. The DC one is cafeteria style, with different dishes each day -- last time I was there, I got mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, greens, and some kind of tofu skin dish (not sure what it was -- the sauce had coconut milk and black pepper and I'm not sure what else.)
