The DC one and the Atlanta one are the same group of restaurants,
Is it Soul Vegetarian? I know the Atlanta one pretty well and I wouldn't call them soul food. (I'd call them damn good, don't get me wrong.)
Spike ,'Conversations with Dead People'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Also, in addition to the four star vegetarian restaurant down the block from me (come to Chicago and I'll take you there! I look for any excuse) I also recently found another that is largely vegan and that I'm hoping to try out at some point. It's not near me, so unless there's someone from out of town I probably won't ever get there.

Yeah, it's Soul Vegetarian. I think the menus are different, though I've only been to the Atlanta one once, and I got a salad. The DC one is cafeteria style, with different dishes each day -- last time I was there, I got mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, greens, and some kind of tofu skin dish (not sure what it was -- the sauce had coconut milk and black pepper and I'm not sure what else.)
Huh. That sounds more soul-foody than the Atlanta one. But soul food or not everything I had there was good so I'm not surprised. That sounds nom.
Oh Pix! Poor Zoe.

I'm sorry, Kristin. I hope it's not too bad a tear.

Fast healing~ma to Zoe, Pix.
The school is gorgeous (GORGEOUS)
There are major spiritual advantages to teaching in a lovely school. I always (no, I really do!) feel more scholarly. I' shallow that way, but something about architecture and gardens and wood and stone and libraries...mmm.
Good luck!
I hope Zoe's leg is fixable and feels better.
Hil, I feel you on the magic vicodin. I didn't take any today because I had a shitton of work today and needed to be alert or some shit, and just got home and took some and am waiting for my head/jaw/neck to stop with the throbbing and aching and grinding.
Didn't you have an interview today, too? Or am I crazy? How did that go?
