Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I am here, I am reading; I have little-to-no ooomph to write. Things are ridonkulous.
Good luck to Kristin wrt the interview, happy birthday to Beth, wtfrustrating and feel better to Askye, things are going to come around Hil, wtfbureaucracy to Meara and WOOOOO House!, happy KC to Sparky, and much comfort to Fay and family; three cheers for Omnis just because.
Jessica you were in a dream last night - there was a television announcer who said "and now we will hear from Miss Jessica A, who with words will convince everyone within hearing range of the rightness of this plan." I have no idea what the context was. But, obviously, rightness.
Barb! When I have keys, you can come SEE IT!! Also, um, I already read those books you loaned me.
YES! Mos def want to see. And heh, on the books. Can't wait to talk to you about them.
"and now we will hear from Miss Jessica A, who with words will convince everyone within hearing range of the rightness of this plan." I have no idea what the context was.
Bwahaha! It was obviously a vision from the future, as I spent WAY more time today than should have been necessary convincing my boss & co-workers that two pieces of the desk we were putting together were, in fact, WRONG, and that the solution was to call the 1-800 number and get them replaced, rather than continuing to pointlessly stare at the pieces on the floor and say "It *has* to fit - we must be doing something wrong."
DO NOT QUESTION MY SPATIAL RECOGNITION SKILLS, BITCHES!
(To their credit, they all did eventually admit I was right. But it would have saved a lot of time if they'd just *assumed* I was right all along.)
I'm watching an American Experience program on the history of environmentalism. Well, history starting in the sixties or so, it seems. So far, it's interesting, but it's just a bunch of disconnected things. There's still a while to go, though. I think the official word of this program is "insidious" -- I swear, someone has said that at least once a minute.
So weird--I just got a facebook message from the old owners of the house!! Guess that's what comes of having a unique name!! (Basically just said 'Enjoy! We loved the bedroom view, let us know if you want any recommendations on the area")
Awww, I hope you enjoy the bedroom view as well. Hee. I'm 12.
Barb, your house is lovely and your family and friends even moreso.
DO NOT QUESTION MY SPATIAL RECOGNITION SKILLS, BITCHES!
Precisely. I recognize fully that I have a sense of distance that can leave much to be desired and a downright unhealthy relationship with gravity but I have spatial recognition skillz. I blame Tetris.
Barb, your house is lovely and your family and friends even moreso.
Aw, thank you! I'm so glad you were able to make it up. My in-laws were so tickled by the idea that we'd only just met in person for the first time. They so loved meeting everyone and are now genuinely reassured that we are in a good place for us. They still hate that we're three thousand miles away, but they're no longer so confused by the fact that we up and did it.
And how pleased was I that Pete wanted a piece of key lime pie for the road? Hee!
This environmentalism program has convinced me that WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE. Either from running out of food or from being poisoned by various industrial chemicals.
Perhaps I should find something else to watch. This is important, but not really what I need when I'm already stressed.
Hil, the finale of RuPaul's drag race is on, if you need an option.
Actually, it's the clip show, very entertaining!
And how pleased was I that Pete wanted a piece of key lime pie for the road?
And then taunted us because *he* had a piece of key lime pie and we? Did not.
My in-laws were so tickled by the idea that we'd only just met in person for the first time.
Well we were continuing conversations we've had for a while. I can see how they were surprised at first. They were both really nice and I so enjoyed talking with them.
