Congratulations meara!
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Congrats, meara!
Seska, awesome to the rescue!
About going back to school in lieu of a job, I want to study Web Graphic Design. It's a much more extensive course than the Web Page Design Certificate I got last year.
Basically, I didn't learn enough, I haven't kept up with what little I learned and I have no confidence in my ability to do anything and less in my ability to convince someone to give me a job.
I think more intensive study will help both my confidence and getting a job. In the mean time, I need to get some kind of work so I can pay my insurance and credit card bills. I also need to move out of my sister's house. It's been over a year.
Sis and SiL have been very generous but I can tell it's wearing thin. I'm tired of being in limbo and I don't want to alienate them.
Congratulations, meara!!! Best of luck moving.
Yay meara! Congrats on the home-ownership! Wishing you a successful move.
quester, the web graphic design course sounds really interesting. And like a smart move. Would you do it alongside part-time work, then? I hope it all works out well for you, whatever you decide to do next.
Oh, man, quester- good luck to you. That is a seriously stressful situation. I hope the program is what you need to get back in the swing of things.
thanks seska & nora.
It's a leap, but I really do think I need it. I will be talking to the Returning Adult Counselor next Monday to find out how feasible it all is and how to proceed.
I'm hoping for part-time or full-time work of some sort to enable living. A lot will depend on whether I'm eligible for financial aid.
There is also the problem of health insurance to worry about. I run out of Cobra in June and I am seriously considering not paying for it for May and June because that is $1200 that I don't have now.
Oh meara, congratulations! Also, you are commendable for not scaring the neighbors by being yelly on the phone with the bank.
Seska, you and the Girl are great for helping stranded people. What a neat thing to do--and to be able to do.
I can't talk Stephanie into the official Steph corset? Imagine the F2Fs!
Bonny, that's great to know, should any of us need to pull that card.
Nora, all best thoughts to Taz--and you. And quester, all good luck to you, too.
I can't talk Stephanie into the official Steph corset? Imagine the F2Fs!
yes, but I can't wear the same thing every time! I mean, if I could come up with just one or two other uses for it, I would get it, but I hate to buy something just for one event.
I see your dilemma. I just need to get the mental (drop dead gorgeous) image of the three of you out of my head--or rather keep it there, and my mouth shut.
I forgot to mention - The Girl was interviewed about her mini-rescue on BBC London news this morning. It was just aired. Weird experience, seeing your fiancee on the telly.
