I am quite enjoying the current British boatlift. "Hm, thousands of stranded Brits on the shores of Europe! Get the boats!" I bet the Chunnel's packed.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Now to try to get some work done. And fax the IRS. And wait for my KEYS!!
WOOOOOOOOO!!! Go you!
Heh. Apparently I am NOT allowed to be a mad scientist in my own home. How wrong is THAT?!?!
Barb! When I have keys, you can come SEE IT!! Also, um, I already read those books you loaned me.
Seska, you are cool for being willing to rescue people like that.
Congrats, meara!
Woo hoo! Congrats on home ownership, meara!
Congrats, meara!
Heh. Apparently I am NOT allowed to be a mad scientist in my own home.
I say, screw the rules.
And Seska - wow.
In 30 minutes Memorial Day will be over, moving it's place to Independence Day. It was a long one.
Congratulations meara!
Congrats, meara!
Seska, awesome to the rescue!
About going back to school in lieu of a job, I want to study Web Graphic Design. It's a much more extensive course than the Web Page Design Certificate I got last year.
Basically, I didn't learn enough, I haven't kept up with what little I learned and I have no confidence in my ability to do anything and less in my ability to convince someone to give me a job.
I think more intensive study will help both my confidence and getting a job. In the mean time, I need to get some kind of work so I can pay my insurance and credit card bills. I also need to move out of my sister's house. It's been over a year.
Sis and SiL have been very generous but I can tell it's wearing thin. I'm tired of being in limbo and I don't want to alienate them.
Congratulations, meara!!! Best of luck moving.
Yay meara! Congrats on the home-ownership! Wishing you a successful move.
quester, the web graphic design course sounds really interesting. And like a smart move. Would you do it alongside part-time work, then? I hope it all works out well for you, whatever you decide to do next.
