Ow.
I'm making some spaghetti to see if maybe I'll feel better after some food, but I doubt it. I think this is going to be another day of lying on the couch with TENS and ice. But first, spaghetti. And then, call to the cable company to see if they can activate my digital receiver yet, because last time I called they had "technical difficulties," and now I can't watch any cable channels.
gronk. Up early for plumber. It's very bright in here.
Okay, I've been trying to set up a meeting with my boss for three weeks. through his scheduler (who's kind of incompetent, but sweet). We haven't talked since my last major project, planning for which was kind of a clusterfuck, since the boss technically doesn't have responsibility for it anymore. Anyhoo, wanted to know if this email is too passive aggressive?
Dear Boss,
I realized that I never gave you the after action report on [project]. I had intended to give it to you in person when we met, but [scheduler] has not been able to coordinate our schedules.
I look forward to meeting with you soon to discuss the upcoming year and my new responsibilities.
Vortex, I think that reads totally reasonable and not at all passive aggressive.
Hey! Can folks who are helpful with job negotiations pop over into Natter to weigh in on our correspondence with the New Orleans company that just offered Tom a job?!!??!?
::gloom and fail::
Despite being sick all last night...headache, vomiting, acid like whoa...I psyched myself up and made it to the blood drive with my buddy. (bless him aLOT)
I didn't think I made any noise with the finger poke, but apparently I did, as people came rushing over.
FAIL. Low Iron.
I could not believe I said it, but I asked them to do it again on the other hand.
Still low. Less than 10.5...when it needs to be above 12.1g/dL.
I'm going to pound the prune juice and raisins and try again next week.
Now, I'm mad.
Any tips on upping iron?
Not spinach!
I'm sorry you were foiled.
Any tips on upping iron?
Cooking in cast iron pans is supposed to help.
I couldn't give blood for years because I was in vaccine studies but before that I was denied several times by the Red Cross for low iron. Evidently their standards are crazy high.
