Despite being sick all last night...headache, vomiting, acid like whoa...I psyched myself up and made it to the blood drive with my buddy. (bless him aLOT)
I didn't think I made any noise with the finger poke, but apparently I did, as people came rushing over.
FAIL. Low Iron.
I could not believe I said it, but I asked them to do it again on the other hand.
Still low. Less than 10.5...when it needs to be above 12.1g/dL.
I'm going to pound the prune juice and raisins and try again next week.
Now, I'm mad.
Any tips on upping iron?

Cooking in cast iron pans is supposed to help.
I couldn't give blood for years because I was in vaccine studies but before that I was denied several times by the Red Cross for low iron. Evidently their standards are crazy high.

OK, I tried going into the office and getting work done. Not so much. Combination of too much pain and not enough motivation to work through it. I've really got no looming deadlines and nothing urgent to do, and I can't bring myself to power through something that could easily wait until tomorrow or Monday.
